okay, so i quit back in august so i could go back to school. but i didnt end up going back. classes were full, didnt register early enough..

anyway. i didnt think it through well enough, obviously.. and decided to quit, so i could work on going to school so i can do something better..

my boss didnt want me to quit, she actually convinced me to work atleast once a week for her, so thats what im still doing until today. working once a week.

im pretty sure, that if i ask for my job back, she'll probably give me my job back..

but im afraid cause it'll make me look unreliable and flakey.

and i've been looking other places. but for a non-career type of job, that place was perfect for me. and i kind of miss it there.

i dont think i'd wanna work anywhere else. (for a non-career / just for now type of job)

Swallow your pride, you're not asking for your job back, you're asking for more hours. Just have a talk with your boss telling her things didn't work out as you had planned and you are going to need to take on a full schedule again if she has the available hours. You never left, so you aren't having to grovel for anything back but your hours.

^ What she said, there's no shame readjusting things when plans don't work out. I'm sure if you explain your situation, the boss will understand. Plus she didn't want you to leave in the first place. Besides it really sounds like you made up your mind anyways, just follow through :)

At this point I wouldn't worry about how it makes you look.

The more important question, IMO, is do you want this job back?

If you do, then take appropriate steps to get it back.

If not, find out what it is you do want and take action to make that happen. If you still want school, perhaps it would be a good idea to work full time - and make sure you are enrolled as soon as possible - until you can start school. Or perhaps you want a different job. Or something else altogether.

Yea man I don't see any problems asking for your schedule back. It seems that if your boss really likes you they would be more than happy to have you be a part of the team again. Just have no worries bud it will work out!

why not go to school in the spring?

it's really not hard to work and go to college anyway.

^^^^Agree with that if you would still like to go back to school.

Since you actually did not stop working there and they are pleased that you stayed for the shifts you did, I would imagine that they would be very happy to employ you again on a more permanent basis.

If you would like the job/hours back that you had and enjoyed them, I would say go for it.

Good luck no matter what you decide to do. :)
