In case you didnt notice- theres the biggest robbery in the history of mankind taking place: the elites are stealing billions and trillions of $ from the people, they are destroying our economy and monetary systems, our rights, there are wars for (natural)resources and geostrategy destroying country after country and people wont take it any more... did you sleep the last 20 or so years?

    ah where to start.

    -700 billion bail out
-two wars. sending innocent 18 year old boys to die for greed and self interest while raping american tax payers to pay for it.
-corporate campaign donations - corporations essentially own our politicians.
-decreased freedom and liberty. the stripping of constitutional rights.
    -police corruption
-war on drugs. once again, american tax payers are being raped to pay for that bullshit.
-the fact that America has its greedy little hands in every other country's business. Guess who pays for that?
-this one is a pet grievence of mine, but I've seen some of the protestors talking about it: The food industry. sterile seeds. The fact that all those additives we put into food is making certain industries (like the chlorine industry, for one...odd isnt it?) billions of dollars.
-revolving door of industry and government officials.

the list goes on and on. Honestly, its a corrupt fucking world we live in. It truly is. Do a little bit of research and it will make you sick. I spend half my time delving into these subjects and feeling pissed off and just completely disheartened that the world and my country can be so corrupt. I spend the other half of my time burying my head in the sand and trying to retain a little bit of sanity.

Its not just about fighting the system, its about making the baby boomers realise they fucked us. For the first time in my life the young are standing up and saying hey those before us exploited everything to such an extent and lived so extravagently that there isnt much of a future for us. To compound it 99% of ppl these days dont have the skills or ingenuity to fend for themselves.

I would disagree. It's not about making anyone see anything, they saw it long before they did it.

    It's about ending the fucking.

The question is who will emerge as the undisputed leader and spokesman for the occupy movement; who will step forward to codify and give direction and purpose to this army of thousands

Hopefully no one will become the leader as that would weaken the movement.

This thing about "no leaders" is a bunch of crock.
Yes there are leaders. They are fairly easy to identify.
After any general assembly, people talk with each other. Those people who have a line of folks waiting to talk with them are leaders.

They don't have given authority, but they are the ones who others respect and look towards.

    Of course Occupy has leaders.

All the Occupy locations have various committees. Often, during a General Assembly, a committee will make an announcement, usually asking for volunteers and specify that interested people meet with them afterward. That most likely is what is seen when a "line of folks" is "waiting to talk" with someone after G.A.
