I am asking you all what you believe your dreams are because i am currently working on my dream section of my book and i would love to know what you all think about dreams.

I personally, think that dreams are your connection to the universe. I feel like the universe speaks to me through my subconscious and in turn my subconscious speaks to me through my dreams. I tend not to look into dream books or anything due to the fact, that i believe that only you know what your dreams mean to you.

Hope to hear some good feedback

The brain is still getting input from nerve endings while you sleep. I think dreams are just the brain's "guesses" about what is causing the physical sensations since it can't confirm anything. In my view, dreams are meaningless and only tell you the kinds of wild guesses you are capable of making. I still enjoy the illusion that they have significance but I'm pretty sure it is mostly noise and little signal.

I sort of think of em kind of as a form of art. Each one is unique and sometimes pretty mind blowing. I'm not too big into dreaming but I got a feeling there are portions of the psyche that can be learned about through dreaming

Yea well there is a lot of the human mind that is still confusing to us. I took a bunch of psyche courses and for the most part it is not fact. The only fact about psyche is the neurological part of it. Other then that it is pretty much one persons views on something. Even though there may be some case studies proving there view there is also case studies that show another view is correct.

I like to believe and it always seems for me at least that my dreams are the universe speaking through me. I guess i am a rather spiritual person and believe that life is more then what we believe it to be.

It's all a matter of perception. I agree with you Buddha. But I have a slightly different view on dreams. I tend to believe that it the dream world is as real as this world, or "more real". What if this world was just a dream that came from that dimension? I know that it is source, I require it. When I dream, I connect with where I come from, however we want to describe it...

When I have the thought of looking in a dream meaning book or look it up online, I folow my intuition and let myself be guided to what comes up. I know that when I have that thought of looking it up, it's because there is a valuable message there for me. Otherwise, I decide what a dream means to me.

How is your writing going? I'm curious about what you're working on!

Yea i totally feel you on that. I think most people in today's world think to monetary and inside the box. They forget that the entire world is theory and there is no real fact with reality. See, that is the problem with the human race. We believe that the latest technology or the latest discovery is showing us the final truth. We believe that anything that is not that is truth is false and you are crazy for not thinking it is. If a couple months ago you were to say that something is faster then the speed of light you would be laughed at and made into a mockery. Now we know something is faster then the speed of light. It goes like that for everything. Maybe one day we humans will realize that the universe, reality, and everything involved is nothing more then a creation or manifestation of our consciousness.

The writing is going good. I sadly bounce around a lot with my chapters like i finished chapter 12-19 but now i am working on chapter 1 (never started it) if you are really interested i can send you a file of something via email

a parallel universe or a psionic internet. of course they could be only the brain freewheeling to get a bit of r and r. maybe more all three then only just one or the other.

Different dreams are different phenomena. Sometimes a dream can be a warning, perhaps from your subconscious. Maybe a dream of bad health might mean it's time for a check-up.

Some people say their dreams are prophetic, that they "see" the future.

Sometimes a dream is just a way of your brain downloading at the end of the day or processing things that are too scary or threatening to deal with any other way.

A dream may even be contact with another person who can't contact you any other way, such as a person who has died.

Different dreams feel different and have different effects, so I think it's a good idea to keep a journal of your dreams and discuss them with trusted friends...or a forum such as this one.

dreams in my opinion, is a mental gateway into ones psychy, that can reveal different things about that person. dreams are of an unconcsious awareness of one suroundings, through dreaming. these things or dreams have many meanings on how they are interpreted, when spoken tyo or in written form in the form of analysis from a dreams interpreter of sort. som dreams do repeat itself sometimes often sometimes months or years later in life. to conclude dreams can show you the dreamer you true self or a fantasy in set dream. some dreams turn out to be that of nightmares. dream on.

i think dreams are memories juxtaposed with intricate neural connections running between them and imagination. something along those lines.

having had many different KINDS of dreams, i really don't believe them to be all any one kind of thing. nor do i see their primary function as something to be interpreted. forgive me if the latter makes me something of a dissenting minority.

many no doubt, are simply the subconscious sort of freewheeling, if you will. synaptic pathways doing a bit of housekeeping as it were. self healing, and so on. taking bits and pieces of experiences and imaginings and admixing them somewhat more or less randomly.

some are for learning from perhaps, in any number of ways. one intriguing possibility to me, is that in dreaming we are connected to some sort of non-physical internet. a bit like playing second life. which is a client server setup. where much of the interpretation as visual representation is done locally to reduce bandwidth demand, while much actual content is none the less transferred, between us and a nonphysical server base, which can also be looked at as some sort of parallel universe.

many people make much of their predictive potential. and while many dream experiences do tend later to be paralleled to varying degrees in waking life, their usefulness as indications of future experiences and situations is considerably degraded by the variability of time frame, and near absolute uncertainty of it.

in short, they are something to be experienced and enjoyed. i won't say more or less real, because then you get into problems with how to define that. only that they do take place in a universe, or para universe, quite different and "other", then this one.

:afro: Mine are too random, far out trippy and go from something personal then to something like a horror movie. I just enjoy them and see where they go instead of trying to figure them out.

Sometimes they take me to places I never been to then later on i end up in that place!

Hopefully they all don't mean that it will happen, because some of mine take me to a time where there is distruction on earth............. moslty flooded by stunami's or animals taking over.

    that is my random share,
so your writing a dream book?
