We are all the potential Sons of God, who, if chosen, will be born as was our brother Jesus, not by blood, nor by the will of the flesh, nor by the will of God, but by the spirit of our Lord God and Saviour, which descended upon our brother in the form of a dove, as the voice of our Father was heard to say, "You are my beloved in whom I am well pleased. THIS DAY I have begotten thee."
I used to think that too. Then I picked up my Bible for a change, (I tend to prefer direct prayer to reading.) and started reading Luke, now, I'm not so sure. Although AT THE TIME that the angel spoke to Mary, she was a virgin, she only became pregnant afterwords. Joseph acted SURPRISED when Jesus told him at the age of twelve that it is obvious he would be in the house of his "father", thinking of himself as the father. Also look at the bloodline of Christ! It clearly states Joseph was the father of Christ. And this would actually be necessary for the prophecy to be true, as the old testament said that the Messiah will come from the bloodline of David, and the bloodline is carried through the man! In fact, in the bloodline, ADAM is stated to be the son of God, with the bloodline of God going through his. Thus yes, we are all BROTHERS OF CHRIST. In fact, to me, this tends to make a lot more sense than some weird virgin birth that the only biblical basis for is that Mary said she was still a virgin three months before the actual conception of Christ. Also, when the proper rituals where followed by Joseph and Mary, no questions where asked about them not being married, although the Bible states that they only where engaged. This just screams of manipulation by the Catholics, or that it wasn't uncommon on unacceptable for an engaged couple to have children. I do not know enough about this but I do have to say that it deserves some serious looking into...
Good one mate. You're on the track, nowhere in the holy scriptures can be found any suggestion that Jesus was born of the flesh, in other way than the of the birth of every human being who has ever walked tis earth. The word :Virgin," in referrence to the mother of Jesus was not introduced into the bible until the 5th century with the Latin translation, "The Vulgate," the translation of Jerome and others who are unknown. In translating the words of the prophet Isaiah, that an "Unmarried woman," an"Almah," is (Presence tense) with child and shall bear a son, etc" into Greek, which like the Hebrew does not have a specific term for "Virgin," The authors of the Septuagint and the Godpel of Matthew, correctly used the Greek word "parthenos," which carries a basic meaning of unmarried girl or youth, and denotes virginity, only by implication. Such as Mary was a "parthenos=unmarried 14 year old girl, when the angel spoke with her, but by saying that she had never known a man, the implication is that the young parthenos was still a virgin. "Parthenos," was often used in referrince to non-virgins, who had never been married. Homer uses it in referrence to unmarried girls who were no longer virgins, and Homer was the standard text book for learning Greek all thoughoutantiquity. So any writer of Greek, including Matthew, who translated Isaiah's words, "That an unmarried woman is pregnant etc, while being well aware of this word's versatile and indefinite meaning, was in no way implying that Mary was a virgin. The Hebrew language has a specific term for "virgin," which is "Bethulah" and which is used in every instance in the Pld Testament, where a woman who has never had sexual contact with a man, is referred to, which word, would have been used by the prophet Isaiah if the intention was that a virgin was pregnant, in fact Isaiah was the actual biological father of the child that was born to the temple prophetess, the mother of that child in question. In Pergamos, as one of the final stages in the quest for enlightenment, the initiated adept would participate in sex with the Temple virgin, a young parthenos=umarried girl. "Parthenos," did not mean possessing an intact hymen. A "partheos," was simply an unmarried woman who claimed ownership of herself. Concerning Jehoiachim the descendant of Solomon and the ancestor of Joseph the son of Jacob from the tribe of Judah, who married Mary after she had given birth to Jesus the biological son of Joseph the son of Heli from the tribe of Levi. Jeremiah 22: 30; "This man is condemned to lose his children, to be a man who will never succeed. He will have no descendants who will rule in Judah as david's successors. I. The Lord have spoken." The genealogy in Matthew is that of Joseph the son of Jacob, from the tribe of Judah, and although that joseph is descended from Solomon the heir to the throne of David, he came through the cursed line of Jehoiachim, he is not genetically connected to jesus, as he had no sexual contact with her until she had given birth to her firstborn son Jesus, the grand son of Alexander Helios III (Heli) the Macsdonian, who had come from cyprus and had sired a son there to another woman other than Anna the daughter of Yehoshua/Jesus III,the high priest in Jerusalem from 36 to 23 BC,the year in which his grand daughter Mary was born. It was Joseph the son of Heli the Levite who had come from Cyprus, who was the biological Father of Jesus. Jesus the granson of Heli the Levite who was murdered in 13 BC, when Mary was 7 years old, because he was seen as a threat to the throne of Herod, as he was a descendant of Nathan the priest, son of David, and as an adopted son, his descendants had a legitimate claim to the throne. Isaac is a prototype of Jesus and like Jesus was born of God's promise according to the workings of the Holy spirit. Both are seen as the seed that was promised to Abraham. Both Isaac and Jesus were the sons of parents who were both sired by the one Father. Terah is the father to both Abraham and Sahah by differnt mothers, while "Heli" is the father to both Mary and Joseph, by differnt mothers. Both Mary and Sarah were informed by an angel that they would become pregnant and bear the child of God's promise. Isaac was offered up as a sacrifice by his father, Jesus was offered up by his spiritual father, whose spirit descended upon him in the form of the dove, as the heavenly voice was heard to say, "You are my beloved in whom I am pleased. THIS DAY I have begotten thee, see the more ancient authorities of Luke 3: 22; before they were changed by universal church of Constantine. And Isaac was offered up on the very spot upon the same mountain, where Jesus was crucified. In Luke 3: 22; (In place of “Thou art my beloved son in who I am well pleased.”) The following authorities of the second, third, and fourth centuries read, “This day I have begotten thee,” vouched for by Codex D, and the most ancient copies of the old latin (a, b. c. ff.I), by Justin Martyr (AD 140), Clemens Alex, (AD. 190), Methodius (AD. 290), among the Greeks. And among the Latins, Lactaitius (AD 300), Hilary (AD) Juvencus (AD. 330), Faustus (AD. 400) and Augustine. All these oldest manuscripts were changed completely. They now read, “This is my son in whom I am well pleased.” Whereas the original variant was, “Thou art my Son. This day I have begotten thee.”
Why is all this Bible genealogy important? Why make us read thru this. What value is it? I can see it being important to the Jews back in their day but why should modern society care about some other ancient peoples forefathers. They are not our forefathers unless we can link our genealogy.
It's important in that it proves beyond all doubt, that according to the holy scriptures, Jesus was born of human parents, and was not another mythological hammer weilding Thor, a non-human hybrid, who was born of a mortal mother and sired by some alien immortal being. Showing to all those poor souls, who refuse to acknowlege that Jesus came as a human being, that they have been living under the deceptive teaching of the anti-christ and his bride, the church of King Constantine. 1st letter of John, 4: 1-3; "My dear friends, do not believe all who calaim to have the spirit, (my words are spirit) but test them to find out if the spirit they have comes from god. for many fals prophets have gone out everywhere. this is how you be able to know if it is god's spirit/word: anyone who acknowledges that jesus came as a human being has the spirit who comes from God. But anyone who denies this about Jesus does not have the spirit from god. The spirit that he has, is from the enemy of the anointed one, the Anti-christ. 2nd letter of John 7-10; "many deceivers have gone out all over the world, people who do not acknowledge that Jesus came as a human being. Such a person is a deceiver and an enemy of Christ." Pssssssttt; wanna know where you can find a teaching that has been spread throughout the entire earth, which refuses to acknowledge that Jesus came as a human being?
Ok, I can see that based on Johns letter. So did Jesus lineage continue? I know he fathered no kids (that we know about from the New Testament. There could be successive generations of Jesus family that has Holy blood. Maybe they are the secret societies trying to rule the world. Sure.
