So i have taken Lucy a couple of times raving mainly because i like to feel the energy of the music in the air and vibrations flow through my body all while i release things from my mind that i just don't need there any more.

on 11/25/11 i did not plan on tripping but how can you turn down 2 free tabs from a hippie doing poi wearing a tie die shirt...on blotter art and everything so why the hell not.

after 2 hours i started seeing flashes on what looked to be faces off the corner of my eye. i would look but nothing would be there. the carpet began to swim and the lasers on the wall were nothing short of beautiful :') i got a light show from GUMMY and gave some of my own light shows as well.

the last 2 hours of the rave i sat alone on a wall thinking and going over things in my brain and then i began to think of my ex girlfriend whom i was with for 3 years and we just broke up last week.

long story short...i have never been able to let all my aggression and anger out so fast and in one night and get over something that meant so much to me like i did that night. Lucy helped me battle out everything i had towards her and now i find my self refreshed and a million times more happy.

Great story man! Even though this trip was obviously rewarding, would you say it was difficult? Like while you were in it...

yes extremely. i found my self on the boarder of losing it and going into bad trip mode but when i found my self there i just sat down and calmed my mind and tried to find my buddies to help ease my mind. rough LOOONG night but it was well worth it :)

Cool short story. LSD has tremendous therapeutic potential and raving can be a great release as well.

The deeply fueling intense dubstep releases so much anger and energy i found my self almost passing out from literally feeling the emotion "anger" as it left my soul...found a native american shaman in my area who said he would guide me through a mescaline journey so now im just mentally preparing myself for that. cant wait to share that experience with everyone :)

I wish you well with that. Good experiences, entered into with intent, can be very enlightening and cleansing. Take time to integrate things after if you can, you may find it best to have minimal to no responsibility to others for a day or two after (like work, etc).
If you came across a true shaman that knows the way of mescaline, I'm slightly jealous and hope you make the absolute best of the experience. :sunny:

Would you say dubstep is a type catharsis?

hmmm any music can be a catharsis i guess. just depends on the persons current mood and what music soothes them and gets them thinking. for me that night they were playing very angry BASSy hardcore dubstep...so it helped me to emotionally beat everything out of my brain that was making me stuck or angry in life.

Maybe being at a dubstep night was the reason you were on the brink of having a bad trip all night. It could have being your subconscious telling you, 'man this is probably the worst genre of music anyone has ever created and the tracks must only take about 3 minutes to make'. Or it could have been that 99% of the people attending were cretins.

Nice little report man. I am glad to see that you worked out some of your mental problems. These types of things are my favorite effects of psychedelics. It is like all of a sudden you have this master key that unlocks every door in your mind and frees it all.

i agree with baldy, ive been to harvest fest before and shit. people there do not stop playing DUB STEP in there car/ When i am tripping i feel like i am a robot when i listen to dubstep for more than 1 or 2 songs. That music is for people that are rollin there tits off, not so much for lsd i feel like i would need something a little more laid back. Tripping at a rave isnt my cup of tea but im sure it is for some people. If i have to listen to dubstep while tripping i will flip out eventually

One time I was tripping at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and we were all just standing around between stages; I caught myself kind of bobbing my head and dancing to this dubsteppish buzzing hum... When I realized I was doing that I looked around and saw that it was a generator! HAHA I flipped out laughing and decided that was how dubstep was born. I love dubstep by the way, I actually enjoy all variations of electronic music but I can understand how some can get under others skin! Each their own.

I don't enjoy dubstep when I'm rolling, it's not mdma music to me at all, if it appeals to any drug it's probably ketamine and disassociatives imo. But I've heard people mention they enjoy it while rolling and trippin, like the op.

Does laughing gas count as a dissociative? As ghetto as this is going to sound, I love dubstep and whippets.

from the title, i didn't expect such a positive statement/outcome :) glad it worked out that way.

last time i took LSD at a musical event, i busted out into a full on cry in the middle of the crowd in front of the stage. i often get "acid-tears"

    bahahaha

acid tears for sure came out haha. but it was a good night i found my self getting tons of deep dark scary visuals like eyes turning black and sinking in because of the lack of light so my brain was controlling all i see. but iv tripped before so staying calm when you visit hell is something that def comes with some practice. as for dubstep. fuck that shit ahaha my fav electronic is Progressive House. its sooooo chill
