With all this negative information about floride, I wonder if anyone has some good ideas for making natural toothpaste...
Baking soda in a paste with a bit of aniseed oil to make it taste/smell better. The baking soda still makes me salivate like a rabid cow though
A European dentist recommended drinking a up of tea a day to protect against plaque and cavities. Thyme is a disinfectant/antibacterial. Just thought I'd give some reasoning for my ealier post. I'm doing the same thing, along with shampoo, conditioner, etc.
I was just wondering this the other night...Even the baking soda toothpaste I by has fluoride? Hmm...Anyways...I was thinking about going to just baking soda which I think I'll do. And the tea idea is awesome! Thank for that info too
I use baking soda and peroxide sometimes . Cleans better than commercial toothpaste imo . The peroxide acts as a whitener . I mix it up like a paste . Just make sure not to swallow it .
Be careful with baking soda/peroxide or the mix. They tend to scrape the enamel off your teeth. Baking soda is an abrasive, and although, it is good as a natural cleaner for your teeth, don't use too much. If you are looking to begin using it as a toothpaste, I suggest making a water/baking soda mix but don't put TOO much baking soda in it.
Has anyone tried Lush's toothy tabs? I just ordered some, they look really interesting and don't contain fluoride. https://www.lush.co.uk/category/274
Seaweed , really ? Yuck ! I don't know if I would trust just seaweed to get my mouth clean and fresh . I would be scared I'd end up flossing with a big boat rope , because of tooth loss
That's right my girl , hey how about some kick ass Irish whiskey ? Now , we are talking . Yum , i'd brush my teeth 80 times a day ! :2thumbsup:
Lol that's right , at least i'll be drunk to kill some of the pain . And one day we will be able to look back on my stupidity and laugh and laugh about it . " remember when I brushed my teeth with that good whiskey around your open flame ?What the hell was I thinking?" Oh well is the rest of that ill fated bottle still left ?
