Not for any religious or spiritual reason... I got some Chuck's one year, and my feet just aren't good with tight shoes... So I went barefoot for about six months until I moved to a town that had a lot of spiky weeds , and my sister got me shoes for Christmas... Then I started wearing shoes again... The only problems it ever caused was in the mall once a security guard made me leave... And at Wal Mart a security guard tried not to let me in, but I just went in the other door...
I try to leave a pair of slipon shoes in the car for just those occasions. Most people will be sensible and allow me to go out and get them if I happen to get thrown out.
Lol, I just didn't have any other shoes at the time, and told everyone I didn't need more... And it never really caused problems, so I never needed to take precautions
Next time they try to stop you at Walmart, ask to see a manager. There is no rule against being barefoot in Walmart. If he is unreasonable, ask him to look for a must-wear-shoes sign at the door. I've been barefoot with only brief interruptions for the last two years, I've even flown twice without shoes (try that in the US! Hah!) I get funny looks sometimes and the odd question, but generally it's no worries. Where I live it is pretty common to be barefoot though so normally I am free of hassle.
As a manager of Walmart I can tell you that we do not have a policy on shoes. Ask for a store manager then tell them that you will call the customer complaint number. I-800 925-6278 if you forget the number, it's simply 1-800-WALMART If you protest loud enough you might get a gift card for your troubles. After all we did start in Arkansas
Thanks I'm not mad, so I don't think I'll do any of that, but if it ever happens again, I'll remember the address of the Wal Mart, and everything, then dig up this thread, and see what's up
