Willy Wonka 27 stole my memorabilia! Seriously, from my favorite Grateful One, Phil's peals of fragile thunder had stripped down my mental faculties and built them back up hundreds of times through the years; and it was awesome to read Searching For The Sound for many direct and indirect answers as to why he's kept us wanting more for almost 50 years.

Since I only download and trade live shows, I haven't bought any Dead on CD in a while. Other than that book, if Furthur counts, I did buy a SBD Cd set after I saw last year's Mohegan Sun Show (wish I had been home for the one two weeks ago. Looked like a sick set list). That would be the last Dead-like thing I've gotten.

    "A Long Strange Trip"

It's a book with Grateful Dead history. It's very informative and interesting.

It's got everything from each of the band members musical backgrounds before they were the Warlocks, to stuff up in 1995. Im only about half way through it, but its great.

My first Dead thing was a plain white tee with the four dancing bears, (different colors) on the front. Found it in the parking lot after my first show in Philly. Dylan and the Dead.
My first real Dead shirt I got was a skeleton riding a roller coaster with raised image some kind of marshmallow ink. It was like 3D. Stupid sister lost it living with Deadheads in Phoenix!
Then we started making our own tie-dyes. Sold them all over America on tours.

I bought my first Grateful Dead CD yesterday at Wall*Mart for $5 bucks. FLASHBACK WITH THE GRATEFUL DEAD. This is really good, groovy music. I've been missing out. So glad I found this CD at Wall*Mart.
