All over the house and in the basement. Some appeared to have killed themselves- one flying into a bug zapper in the basement, another slamming itself into a wall so hard it stuck, still another with it's beak stuck behind a tile in the wall, like it was looking for something, got stuck and starved to death there. Others just littered the floor, no blood or evidence of injury. They were all green with shiny feathers, black beaks and white bellies. Can anyone tell me what this means? I am highly disturbed...
Hummingbirds in dreams usually symbolize a higher power of spiritual attainment, (freedom, lightness, higher awareness) enlightenment. If they were dead and being killed in the dream I think it would suggest something is blocking your spiritual advancement. Can you think of anything that might be in the way of your own evolution?
I have been trying to find myself spiritually lately... I've got a great book I've been reading, even to the point of taking notes, but due to my schedule and that of those around me, it's been difficult to find time to myself to read. Seems I'm either at work, so tired I can't even hold the book up, or someone wants my time. I'm also waiting until after the holidays to take a pretty big step away from my existing religion and toward another, but I can't really take steps until after I'm done with all of my holiday traveling. It has been frustrating me, so if what you say is right, it would make sense. Thanks.
the hummingbird is referenced several times in baha'i litterature as symbolizing baha'u'llah and his fallowers. there were indeed many and horrific martyrdoms of them in the mid 1800s, which was when the faith began. it is not inconceivable there may come a time of more. baha'is in iran, known as persia at the time, today are denied access to education, and those who had been providing alternative education to them have been largely rounded up and imprissoned. of course today's iran loves to martyr and harass all kinds of people, not just baha'is. there is also this, it is quite likely for the u.s. and international corporatocracy to take a specific disliking to our regard of nationalism, materialsim, and ideological prejudice as being primary false gods. all prejudice being evil and beneath contempt.
