What are some things your parents taught you when you were small that you know now isn't scientifically correct?? I remember I asked my parents where tears came from and they said from the heart. The irony was my mom is a scientist.
my mom is really matter of fact and everything was explained in terms of biology. One day I came home from school and said that the hamsters in class got married because there were hamster babies and she had to explain that you didn't have to be married to have babies.
my mother was literal in all of her explanations...I got a complete birds and the bees talk when I was 2! Holly
This isn't from my parents, I think I saw it on tv.. but I like it. A little girl (i think) asked someone about the ridge between your nose and your mouth. The grown up said that when you're in the womb, the angels tell you the secrets of life, and then they press their finger to your mouth so you'll keep it to yourself. I dunno, I thought it was sweet. Also, according to Carrie on Sex & The City, people have dimples because they got hit with a penis while in-womb... so if you're preggars and want dimpley kids, go find the longest penis and have at it!
my parents arent spiritual people. and neither am i. my father is a doctor. he told me all the cold hard facts about everything when i was little. it made me a little paranoid but at least im not ignorant about disease, plus i find it interesting now. hmm i have dimples
