I take Adderall every morning, I get it on prescription. I'm in college, and many nights I don't have much time to sleep. Often, I stay up late (4am or so) doing homework, and then fall asleep, sleep through my alarm, and then sleep through the class I stayed up all night studying for. This happened increasingly over the past weeks. As my sleep routine got more and more fucked up, I missed more and more classes and was exhausted all of the time. This was really god damn annoying. One night, (about 3 weeks ago) I was heading to bed at 6am (class is at 10) and out of curiosity I took an adderall before falling onto my couch and going straight to sleep. 2 hours later, I woke up with my entire body numb, humping the couch. I wasn't fully conscious though. I was half asleep, numb, and rubbing whatever body part i could on the couch. (it felt amazing). By 9, I was fully awake (before my alarm went off). On my more exhausting nights, I've repeated this 3 more times with the exact same effects. Obviously this is not something to do long term, but is it harmful to do on occasion?
I have to admit that what you are experiencing is odd. It is best you stop taking it late at night. It is not meant for that and you are basically wasting it. However, I have certainly fallen asleep after taking it (but before it kicks in) and I have never woken up in your situation. Odd. Remember, the drug has a 10 hour half life, so it is in your system longer than you think. So even taking it a 6 pm will keep you going well into the 4 am range.
I've been doing so many add and Adhd medications for the past few years, different amounts and different ways. But that just sounds insane. I've never heard of it fucking with anyone like that. I've been up for 48 hours, and I've taken about 150 milligrams yesterday and today, snorting 50 of it each time. My tolerance is unbelievably high cuz thetas are usually dangerous levels. Even after so much it doesn't fuck with me anywhere near what you've described... you should either stop taking and ask your doctor, or let me sample it for you to ah... make sure its safe, and stuff... yeah! lol.
never been numb or anything like you described, but i have re "dosed" after a long night of studying, gone to sleep for a little while and woken up when the adderall woke me up. It usually worked pretty well, although occasionally I'd be awake mentally but physically exhausted with the yawns...probably not in peak condition for school work, especially not for test taking. sometimes it's crucial to do stupid shit like this in college, especially after time procrastinating. but your body NEEDS sleep for many reasons, and the way you are living the short term is risky business for your health. Moderation man, and planning. hate to sound like a mom or a counselor, especially after how I managed my work during undergrad. good luck, but be careful...FOR real!
