Silverchair has never quite been my cup of tea, personally - only song I enjoyed (as in, many listens over and over again), was Straight Lines.

Well, I've lived here for 20 years, so you have to love it, don't you :)
It is a good place though SK, at least where I am - can't speak for much else in Australia.

I saw Silverchair play live a couple of years ago. Was pretty fucking sweet. Yeah I live In Tasmania aka the small island below Australia. Its really green, cold and plus there are heaps of alternate/hippie peeps. Its a pretty sweet place and kinda looks like The Shire (Lord of the rings) in some places. All in all Australia is an unreal place to live

I live in Alabama Usa so australia is quite exotic. I saw silverchair play in my state. So happy they came. I love diorama. I got to meet Luke Steele in nashville which was awesome. Anyone been to perth? How was it? Aussie girls really great? The music in Australia is great. True artists. Tasmania sounds cool i wish i could visit it one day.

South Australia is mostly known for its serial killers.:mickey:

I dont know anyone who has been bitten by a funnel web. A redback spider however....those little bastards will lift you!

Australian serial killers are all fail.
Yes it's hot, too damn hot.
A lot of the little creatures are dangerous but hardly anyone dies from them nowadays, except the sharks.
I live in Canberra. Expensive to live here but the 1/4 of the population of most capital cities is worth it plus the mountains are always fun and it's one of the colder places in winter. The downside about the bushland are the spiders and insects during warmer months but they're all easily handled with the right outdoor/indoor spray. Lots of snakes too but they mind their own business. Anyone who gets bitten by one and says they were just walking by is probably lying. I get within 5 meters of them all the time when bush walking and they're quick to get away from you. Even the big brown snakes want no trouble. I say bitten people are more than likely stirring them up.

By giving them a friendly pat. If that doesn't work, flee.
Tiger snakes? Box jellyfish? Stoned women? We Australians have a knack of getting a handle on most venomous creatures great and small. Come on down totally nude and say 'G'day mate!' :)

Yeh our Aussie culture is based on beer songs, holden's and a any reason to drink with friends and help out a mate, though we are loosing this culture due to Americanism and bad sitcoms.

Perhaps some youthful naivety from the Sunkid.
Just because you like a couple of bands doesn't mean the whole country is "awesome".

There are plenty of Drunk, Ignorant, Loud, dipsticks here too mate.
