I'll never forgive Apple for branding all my videos with QuickTime's codex so I can't play them and play around with them on Windows Movie maker. I think I'm just going to sell my ipod touch tomorrow and just listen to music through plugging my phone into my stereo. I've never liked the idea of having two devicies anyway...always made feel like a typical spoilt western brat. Hopefully when I've removed Quicktime I'll be able to use the Microsoft software. It seeems strange that Microsoft are letting this happen. You'd think if anyone would be winning the war in my laptop to brand videos with their own codec it would be the co. who produces the Operating system.
The apple devices look attractive but when I actually tested some of them, I wasn't really drawn into buying them. Don't really know why. I guess I'm just not a big fan of their interface.
Yeah, fuck those monopolistic douchebags at apple, I'd rather use microsoft's monopolistic video format. Oh wait, my computer happily does both, without having to actually run software belonging to either :2thumbsup:
Working at a major electronics retailer I have meet more then my fair share of Apple fans. After talking to them I have learned That most are either fans because it's 'cool' or simply don't relise there are other (better) options. I would say that 50% of people looking to buy an iPhone don't relise that they don't do anything that other smart phones don't do (and in most cases the iPhones do less) and 70+% of people looking to buy an iPad don't relise there are other tables on the market. plus they are fucking expensive. Macs work superb and are easy to use (well, I'm used to them), but I understand that on a Windows machine the frustration with more dishonest bloatware from a company. I highly recommend the free VLC Player, though. Plays virtually any audio or video file.
Oh, okay, I didn't realize iPhones do less than all the phones patterned on them. Now I know, everyone ELSE pioneered touch screens, gestures, etc. Can you tell me about the android or blackberry feature that is superior to siri? As you said, iPhones don't do more, and usually do less. This knockoff siri must be pretty fuckin' amazing.
