    See The Horizon?

    Pour some strong black coffee
Roll a cigarette and pretend to smile
Try to run your finger across
    The silver thread of denial
in the sky... so high, to the moon and back
    And don't forget to leave
traces of your pearls and swine
    the blind assassin
lives life without a master plan.

    Maybe there's a horizon somewhere
way above that dying breed of stars
Where the light dines on our broken hearts
and we'll race to nowhere in motorcars
Where there are no confines or conditions
Can you find it...what's your condition?

I need to run from all these plastic shadows
I need to turn you upside down...
I need to prove there's something to believe
    But you should leave soon
There's a black cat prowling on the moon
Crawling up the wall and I've never felt
    So small when alone
    There's something pretty ...
    Sparkling like a kaleidoscope
    with dandelions
    And dragonflies
And if I had a disguise
It would be covering my eyes.

They are celebrating the masochistic lies
They are singing tearful melodies to me
because of you and what I mean
Don't you see my heart is drained of blood
too? Is this what company's do?
    What files do you write
Why is it such a pretty night?
Can you be that black and blue
    When ready to take flight?

You're injured but I'm crying inside
I will not open my mind this time
My mouth is shut and my eyes
    Filled with magic bullets
We'll all be dead soon up anyways...
    How far down...four stupid clowns
I'm spinning, don't forget the winning streak
When we spill our coffee and you acted like a freak?

Yeah cuz' in the end, there's always ambition
A goal an architecture of dreams
    Inception of ideas
    Floating downstream when
    volition comes so quick
    to those who are weak
    just need some nutrition

So even though I am so small
I'm fed these breadcrumbs after all
The soul stands tall and strong
    accuses no one
    but knows when it's wrong
    And weathers the constant
Falling of the storms or raging
Rain, dark stains on the pavement
    Splattering against the cornerstone
    rage against the machine
I choose to suffer this way
    Life's mean.

    Who needs to be known?
    So they push every button
    Smut and stupidity and gluttony
    Logic and irrationality
I am the only one maybe
    Who gets this you see
    Don't touch me this time
    I wish I was free.
    \/
    This marble plaque & there
    Another deadpan stare
    A number on a scale, a nail
Against a man made of sand
    we apologize
    when no one is willing
a castle that will wash away
    too soon

    with no king or crown
An evil that should never have been
    You cannot win
    Because in the end
    we all Fall down.

    A Crook
    A sinner spinning
    A perfect beginning
If only there was a way through
    or around you to meaning
    the colors drained of white
    If only I could
    stop getting it right
when I keep my feet moving
    my sanity must be improving...
The light knows the darkness well
    because darkness will always
    disperse the light
    but the shadows hide visitors
    and they like to seem
    out of sight.

    Why do we fight?
    When we could just see
    black for black
    and white for white?
    The light knows the darkness
    Why do we still fight?
    When we could just see
You for you and me for me
    I will always be free
    Because I believed in liberty
    One choice is enough--
    "Do you See the horizon?"
