I came out as a lesbian in August, Im 18 my family is accepting and I have a girlfriend. I love my girlfriend so much, and I would do anything for her in a heartbeat. I never was in love with a guy, maybe sometimes said they were attractive but I cant stand men honestly like I feel they are not as emotional as woman and I just rather be with a woman. I have OCD and I keep worrying like OMG what if im not a lesbian and im straight. Like I said I am in love with my girlfriend and I never want to lose her but these thoughts just scare me and I hate it. I dont know if its my OCD causing me to worry...but I hate it....I would never change my sexuality because I am proud of who I am and I was scared in the beginning to admit to myself I was a lesbian..I was in denial for like 4 years but now I am out and about with it. Did any other lesbians feel this way when they came out and had thoughts like what if im straight after all? Like I said I have a girlfriend who I love more than anything and I just hate these thoughts so much...I dont want to be with a man

I think its normal from what your going through, this is new to you, you just need to work on being comfortable with your sexuality.

I been in denial also and was always questioning it when I was younger, I was also scare to admit that im a lesbian. I am still learning to be comfortable with it, its a process.

I used to wonder this sometimes too. It's easy to lose track of all the reasons that helped you realize you're not straight. Because being straight is so prevalent, it can take a while to stop second guessing yourself. I have been married to a man and I always thought the reason I couldn't love him or be sexually attracted to him was because I was broken, or weird, or sick in some way. I'd have to think of a woman just to get wet enough for sex with a man to work. And despite all those reasons alone, I'd question if I just hadn't found the right way to "appreciate" a man.

I'm just gay, that's all. There's no hidden answer anywhere or magic cure for it. I'll only ever be able to fall in love with a woman, be turned on by a woman, desire a woman, or please a woman. Seeing where you are makes me happy I'm where I'm at now! With all due respect of course.

This is normal. I started to think I was lesbian or bisexual when I was 11, but it wasn't until I was 19 that I realized I was definitely a lesbian. I think most of this confusion is self denial... It is easier to live a hetero life in our society and it can be scary thinking you may become outcasted.

also in the beginning I was highly concerned with labels.. But I think with time you become more relaxed considering what your label is. This will probably occur for you as well.

Don't worry about labeling yourself. It's awesome to be a lesbian (with all the awesome lesbian sex hahaha), but it's also absolutely okay to fall in love with a guy and have sex with him.
    Just go with a flow!

*That sounded so hippy, I'm sorry*

When I was about 14 I had a massive row with my father and told him I was gay. A few months later I met a lovely boy and we started a relationship. I'm one of the few people who had to climb back into the closet after coming out.
I still identify as a dyke, I date women. But I'm still a sucker for a pretty boy.
    Pun intended.

I feel like that ALL the time, too. I also have OCD, a pretty bad case of it. Then I turn on the t.v. and see some hot chick and realize I'm still into girls. lol Watch more t.v.? It's all in your head.

I think pretty much everyone doubts their decision every now and then, especially in the beginning, relax ;)
