You ALWAYS look forward to a change of weather! Rain? Feels fantastic! Snow? WOW! Hot temps? Bring 'em on! (yes, there are places where extremes kick in blah blah---this is just a general observation) Going barefoot is ALWAYS in season!
eh, can't say I would look forward to snow... and I don't really look forward to wet, rainy days when it's 35°F outside. I'll have to be using shoes (or my gore-tex boots) for those occasions.
there are ALWAYS individual differences...but I think there are sufficient barefooters 'round the world who (as a group) would validate the claim. Or not.
Another great thing about barefooting is you never have to look where you last placed your shoes, or never have to bend down to re-tie them. It feels just plain awesome!
Snow? Fuck, numb feet, poor circulation for the rest of the day..... Hot? Fuck, fucking blisters and shit.... Happy medium? Fuck, I just spent like 15 minutes digging all the way past my callus and then some to get a cactus spine out of my foot, been there for like 36 hours, couldn't take it any more. So.... I dunno what lala land you all live in.... I go barefoot and enjoy it, and I like the feelings and benefits and challenges, but I dunno how it's so idyllic for everyone else. Cause this shit has a tendency to hurt like a bitch.
Well I started out a fairweather only barefooter, ie height of summer only. Now after several years I agree with the thrust of this thread....as long as I'm dressed appropriately otherwise, bring it on!!!
Everyone has the right to disagree. That's why there are Democreeps and Returdlicans... (by the way, if you barefoot routinely, it DOES "hurt" less and less...but then I remember something about banging one's head against a metal stud...)
Wet is good. nice and cool and refreshing, so long as its not freezing. Your feet also stays pretty clean too
