What is more exciting than the fact that Johnny is Willy is that they have one of the best directors making the film.

I think the remake is going to overshadow the happy 70s version. It's supposed to be closer to the book. Lord knows, Burton is a darker director, so this is bound to have some dark comedy elements to it. It won't just be straight humour and antics for the children. And Johnny Depp really knows how to research and make characters his own. I feel that he is thoroughly going to immerse himself in this role and make Willy Wonka the character that Dahl wished him to be. Holly

Well, this isn't necessarily a remake. This is more based off the book than the 70s movie. I think when people see this, they should be thinking of it as it's own entity...not just a clone of the 70s movie, or they will be highly disappointed. And yes, Johnny's facial expressions and actions in the trailer do seem a bit...exaggerated. It might freak some people out. Holly
