    You betcha!

Just picture FB as being an NSA/CIA sting operation, like a false storefront. They pretend to be one thing, but in reality it's something else. So imagine they keep tight records on every customer who comes in to their store to do biz with them. But not just them, whomever they happen to be with when they come in the store also gets recorded (never deleted!).

In addition they are bugged while in the store, so that wherever they go, they are tracked, to the drug store, the pizzeria, to their friends houses, to the bank, etc. Very quickly they develop a whole profile of you and your activities, even if you only spent a minute in their store.

And of course once they've found out who your friends are, they start tracking them, even if they've never been to the storefront. And they track their friends too, and so on, until they have some info ON EVERYBODY!

The electronic footprints are so easy to record, analyze, correlate, etc.

Then they impose filters that raise flags for whatever reasons they want. And if you happen to come in contact with a "person of interest", no matter how minimal, YOU YOURSELF become a "person of interest" to them. And once you're on that list, you won't ever get off it, no matter how clean you are!

And incredibly 750,000,000 people have walked into that storefront.

So it's nearly 100% likely that they've got something on you, even if you've NEVER visited Facebook!

Skip...that is really freaky. Facebook trapped me back in 2006 when you had to have a college email account to even have a Facebook. It has definitely changed since then.

So in regards to what you just said....I bet Facebook has a lot on me.

Can I watch you take a shit ?
Or how about sucking your boyfriend's dick ?
Perhaps watch you change your tampon ?

Yes that is a bit vulgar. The point is everyone has a private life.
So let's try this like Facebook would do it.

    • What's your favourite couleur?
    • Did you know red is associated with communism?
    • What couleur did you say your car was? And didn't you just buy a new red dress?

    • Did you say you like picasso as an artist? Did you know he was a communist?

    • Did you know that Salvador Dali was gay?
    • I ask because you're friends with xxxx and he has several images of Dali paintings.

    • Can you tell me about your best friend?
    • Can I get her phone number from you because I think we have alot in common.

    • Is that a photo of her new car she has in her profile?
    • She said she paid cash for her new car didn't she?
    • Doesn't she live near Compton California?
    • Isn't she black?
    • Is there her standing beside you in those old year book photos ?
    • Do you two hang around a lot?

    • How about you tell me how much you paid for your last car. Was it financed?

    • Did your mother buy a car?
    • Did she get a bank loan for it or was it done through the dealer?

    • Oppps it's tax time again. Don't you just hate doing taxes ?
    • So did you have to pay last year ?
    • Must have been hard making ends meet.
    • Didn't you say it was an expensive year for you?
    • So how did you do cope ?
    • Afterall you say you went out with your friends every week for the last 2 months. Bars are expensive.

    • Are you going to vote democrate or republican this time ?
    • What do you think of Ron Paul ?
    • How about Ralph Nader ?
    • I heard a guy called Alex Jones talking about Nader. Have you ever heard
    • of Alex Jones ?
    • Alex Jones is really ant-establishment.What do you think about guys like him ?

    ---------
See there is tons of information you might be giving out without even knowing it.
And I'm just some shmuck taking a crack at "playing FBI profiler."

This is the reason why if someone is on Facebook.

I will never trust them or be their friend in the real world either.

I can see where FB is the best tool the spy agencies have ever had!

Far more personal info than could ever be gleaned from gov't records or phone taps is at their fingertips thanks to FB.

And the associative links to friends, transactions, credit cards, "likes", web browsing history, online activities, off-line activities, etc. all make the spies' jobs much easier and more accurate and timely.

So yeah, any terrorist using FB to plan and commit acts of terror is going to be spotted. Do terrorists use FB? Of course not! They're far smarter than that.

Does law enforcement use FB to entrap people? Of course they do! So you'll never know if you're being lured into some sting operation on FB by "friending" someone or just by visiting a suspect's FB page!

We are all now guilty by association! You won't be filtered out of their perp searches if you clicked on the wrong link. That's all it takes. Don't matter how "clean" you are.

And if you don't understand the consequences of being associated with a person of interest, just ask those who've been put on NO FLY lists just because their name is similar to someone else's. Imagine all the false positives that show up in every search they do. Do you think they'll take the time to sort thru the list? Absolutely not! They're not being paid to remove people from lists, only to add more.

So go ahead and make sure you've friended everyone, whether you've ever met them in real life or not. Just make sure a few of them are FBI agents who can come to your rescue one day...

Idk, most regular people already have enough to worry about. It helps to keep the worrying to a minimum to keep a reasonable level of sanity.

Worst part is, is that even if you deactivate your FB account and join back, they have all your prior info there anyway. Make sure you DELETE it.

Is there a specific place people should be looking for FB cookies to delete them? Or will a general cookie delete be sufficient?

You can delete your FB account so you can't see it anymore, but the FEDS still can...

So how do I get rid of every trace of my former FaceBook use? I haven't touched it since I deleted my account over a year and a half ago (and I have never been happier...).

Is it sufficient to delete cookies, or do I need to actually email or phone someone AT FaceBook headquarters and demand them to remove any trace of my identity from their site? I am willing to do that, though.

I don't think you can...... and I'm sure that's covered by their "terms of service" policy. Even if they have changed that policy since you were a member you would probably be bound by the new policy. Deleting cookies has nothing to do with it... cookies are on your system, your info is on theirs. (and if it's juicy on the FEDs already)

You can try calling or email but I doubt it will do much good...... Best of luck, though, if you try.

I deleted my facebook account, but then 'un-deleted' it (they make you go through a 14 day waiting period before it is deleted). in the week i didn't have it, i missed out getting invited to a couple different parties. it's hard to give up when all of your friends use it to organize gatherings and such. instead i have just cut my friends list down to only people that i see and talk to often, and set the privacy settings to the highest possible.

    YOu can NOT.
That information is about you. But you no longer own it.
It is the property of Facebook.
They will only laugh at you.
You gave up ownership of that information when you published it.

Private information is like a secret.
The moment you open your mouth... It stops being a secret.
So shut the fuck up and stay away from sites like Facebook.
Input this in your hosts file. It will keep facebook out of your computer.

Well, I never posted anything illegal at least, but it still creeps me out.

I used to want to get a government job, but in the last two years I have increasingly found that proposition disgusting on many levels. So I guess I don't have to worry about that. I am just glad I got out when I did.

Let's play a "what if" game.

What if you added your next door neighbour as a friend on Facebook.
Afterall... it is your next door neighbour.

But what you do not know is your neighbour makes extra money stealing
parts off of cars. So one day he asks you if he can store a couple of things
in your garage. Stuff like some car tires, a radio, etc.

Also you did not know that he has been conducting a nice online business
selling these parts. You also did NOT know that he was being investigated
    by the poliice.

So they arrest him and they track down everyone that he knows, did
business with etc. Because of all the stuff he did online they start
getting search warrents starting with those that live closest to him.

Congratuations mister good guy that has nothing to hide.
You just got arrested on possession of stolen property.
AND YOU NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG.

Now you're going to have to pay a lawyer and hope that judge isn't a
texian redneck looking to lynch criminals at all costs. If he believes you
did not know the stuff was stolen you walk away only having to pay a
    couple thousand to a lawyer.

And even if you are cleared of any wrong doing, it will still come up on the
police computer that you were once arrested for stolen property. Therefore
you better never drive too fast, cross the street on a red light or be
    involved in a domestic dispute.

So go ahead and tell yourself how good you are and play on facebook.
But do NOT foreget that the prison system is based on capitalism and they
will make money by finding ways to put you in jail in order to turn you into
    slave labour for Apple.

(If you like the Iphone, you can make them in prison and be paid
pennies each day. I bet you did not know that 1/5 of all apple Iphones are
    made in prisons.)

I see your point, but all I am saying is simply that I have no control over the situation now, so why make myself worry about it?! The only contructive thing I can do is convince people to not use it (which I try to do, but no one listens because they are brainwashed into trusting everyone who can put up a lovely, friendly-looking facade) and to someday work to end it.

This is supposedly Anonymous's warning about Facebook, from August. This says that they are attacking Facebook tomorrow.
