You have described nor predicted any effects from my premises. I certainly have of yours.
He was liar from the beginning, he doesn't even exist. The story of satan is allegorical.

    Arthur:
Resurrection does not occur after death, but in ones self-same life. To be 'resigned' to life is to die.

Isn't ascension the end to 'the resurrection life' by your reckoning? : D

    All life is created.

It was more for OWB. What do you call the crucifixion then? Bad business?!

Speaking of jw, waterbrother why do you dissociate yourself from jehovahs witnesses when you disseminate their program. Did you have a falling out, did they ask you to do something you couldn't, like knock on a door?

Yes, I agree with Jesus in believing Satan exists
    Yes he is.
Jehovah is only one God but God's word the Bible also says this:
(1 Corinthians 8:5-6) For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.
(John 10:34-36) Jesus answered them: “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said: “YOU are gods”’? If he called ‘gods’ those against whom the word of God came, and yet the Scripture cannot be nullified, do YOU say to me whom the Father sanctified and dispatched into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, I am God’s Son?
(Psalm 82:1) God is stationing himself in the assembly of the Divine One; In the middle of the gods he judges
I believe what God has said to us in his word the Bible. You should try it some time.
So you think God was lying to us when he authored this; If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.(2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
You may think my beliefs are "whacked" but I don't try to teach Satan's lies as truth from the "Holy Spirit".
    Sure, do you?

Really? I predicted from the first that what you say would be contradictory and I have repetedly shown that.

Also, your belief that Jesus did not sacrifice himself, makes the love that you espouse a weak shadow of what true Christian love is suppose to be.
Yeah right and it was this allegory that tempted Jesus in the wilderness. [IMG]

What? Who was speaking of JW, in fact this may be the first mention in this thread and if not it was many posts ago.
I do not "dissociate yourself from jehovahs witnesses" but I have said I am not one of them.

Disseminate their program? How is that? Aside from the fact they believe the Bible is the Word of God and that Jehovah is God's name, which I have made no secret that I also believe. What program did you have in mind?
Why should I object to knocking on a door? I knock on doors all the time.

You have yet to answer the question? From all appearances, you do live alone.
As i said before appearances can be deceiving unless they are confirmed, so i presented my assumption in the form of a question to allow for confirmation or denial. So, sounds creepy? , appearances are deceiving.

    So.
That is the definition of dissociation.

Their doctrine which is overlaid on the structure of the bible. Consisting primarily of forces in contention and a lesson of fear.
Because while you vigorously proclaim your whole hearted theological beliefs,
you are pointedly reluctant to witness from your own spirit, claiming incessantly, that is what the bible says.

What you have repeatedly done is contradicted me, and the evidence is clear. You have not pointed to any inconsistency in what I have said. You on the other hand, speak one truth about what the bibles says to one person and an entirely different truth about what the bible says to another. this tells me, your interest is not in truth. You couldn't predict squat because you have difficulty in determining what day it is for reference. I don't mean to be unkind, but if you are only here for entertainment, then I am wasting my time
to continue with you. Love waits on invitation.

Describe that "weak shadow" for me. What does it look like?

I brought up Jehovah's Witnesses because of OWB's insistence that Jehovah is God's only legitimate name, and the fact that He does not (as I recall) believe that Jesus is God's incarnation, God's manifestation in bodily form. J.W.'s do not believe that Jesus Christ is God's manifestation in the flesh, and their bibles have been changed in order to reflect this.

They believe in a distant God, in heaven, whom we are to do good works to please, in order to earn our way to heaven, rather than a God who has interests on earth, specifically. Neither the Mormons nor the J.W.'s believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said the truth sets us free. that the truth be we are sinners, is a contradiction of terms. If the light in you be darkness, then how great the darkness. That we are sinners, is not christ teaching, christ teaching is go and sin no more.

Resurrection is embodied in Christ,,as He said "I am the resurrection, and the life,," (John 11:25)

Jesus went through death. He died, in His physical body, as a man, but that man was resurrected, bodily, after a period of a three days.

No death, no life. That's how it goes. Same thing with us. Death is not always physical.

The life of God IS the resurrection life. Ascension is merely one aspect of the life of Christ. It was not the "end" of the resurrection life.

God's life is uncreated. No beginning, no end.

The crucifixion. Christ's death. The death of Christ. Jesus' death. God's provision for sin.

"Ransom sacrifice" is a term commonly used by J.W.'s

It is not truth that we are sinners by itself just like it is not truth that God created the world and in spite of that there is evil. Truth is that there is good in the world and there is much heart to consider for freedom to Act. So you are wondering how God could exist allowing evil, us to sin, and so forth. Is that then truth? Now that will set you free. I am no longer banned am I? :mickey:

"My little children, these things I write to you that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous"
    (I John 2:1)

God's will is that we do not sin. However, we do sin, so God made provision for sin, in the death of Christ, as our eternal offering for sin.

To ignore the fact that sin still exists in our being, and that we do sin, is not to recognize the truth.

    (I John 1: 5-10)

Two things are being addressed here, sin, and sins. On the one hand, we have the element of sin still in our being. On the other hand, we commit sins. Both sin and sins were done away with on the cross of Christ. However, in order to realize the efficacy of the blood of Christ in our experience, we need to confess our sins to the Lord. Our confession restores our fellowship with God.

Christ' accomplishments on the cross, in terminating satan, self, sin, death, the world, and the old creation, are like a judgment, a law being passed. The carrying out, the execution and enforcement of that law are still in process. For that, the church is needed, with the overcomers.

Where is that body now. He appeared in the form of a body. There was something odd about it, they didn't recognize him. As I suggested the glorified body may appear in any form.

Give me any evidence at all for death. We see energetic processes, but we know only life.
As with waterbrother, consider the natural outcome of this premise. thank god, jesus is dead. It is the resurrection that establishes the atonement. It is christ teaching through practice, that pays the way to life. Gods provision for sin is it's undoing, forgiveness through the son of man who has the power to fore go his own mistake in sharing in accusation.

My own divinity? I do recognize my own divinity, but it is not my own, but Christ, who lives in me.

There is nothing exclusionary in such a saying.

According to the lore of the "first" christians, who could not ( and really, how could they? ) come to terms with christs death. To them, it seemed to negate what he had promised. Paul perpetrated an act of cowardice with respect to the life of Jesus. Perhaps respect is all he really managed for him! No-one goes through death, only dying. Christians will an end to life because higher life represents the negation to their own, and their dreams of the highest. They cannot consider that it is only a representation, and only then - to their fears! I'm not sure how to help, but I'm willing to! : )

Life is created out of itself, not death. That death has been necessary to life means only that.

Well, since it isn't metaphysical you have time for a retake of this, your mistake. : D
