Earlier this evening I had went to the store when I was walking back home I thought this. The sunset is alive because its part of the sun. The sun gives life to things so the sun must be alive. The sun has a soul and maybe it has a mind? One day the sun will die and we will die. Its fire will die out so the fire to the sun is like whats keeps us alive. Our brain, heart and other organs. So its just a thought...

    The Sun is our friend.

A sunset isn't part of the sun. It's the last amount of visible light hitting the horizon as the part of the earth your on turns away from the sun.

The suns a giant plasma ball, not your friend. All that saves us from that thing cooking us is a bunch of iron at the core of the earth.

I'd destroy it if I could.

Sure it’s our friend now but just wait a few billion years when the sun expands 200 times it current mass and begins to engulf mercury, venus, and then earth, leaving our planet a desiccated dead world devoid of all life [IMG]

Exactly. If we don't take care of the sun now, it'll ruin the planet for our children.

    Extinguish the sun!

Well, the sun *does* help us grow organic fruits and vegetables and those wonderful herbs many enjoy. But the sun also can give us skin cancer and cataracts. I think the sun is neutral, like all things in nature, ever present, intentional, and oblivious of time. The natural world is a cycle that creates, reproduces and destroys itself...the sun simply has a lead role. The cycle isn't endless.

I think if we ally ourselves with nature, put trusting intentions out into the universe, and tread a light path on her...we will find less harm...until a bear comes to eat us of course...then we flow back into the cycle.

one of these days we're going to hear a huge alien giggle while he places a giganfucktic magnifying glass between the sun and the earth
