100% with you...all girls today just try and fit in by acting stressed and stupid. I havn't come close to finding the right girl yet because they are all like this.

I wish girls were nicer and more normal these days. I care way more about personality than looks when it gets to this extreme.

What the hell is normal? {laughs} so people have problems its part of the fun I mean she decides to stab you with a knife doesn't it make it more exciting . Nah I don't know I take people for who they are if theres a common interest thats all that matters. I havn't found someone for me yet but I've made heaps of female friends and thats great. Some are so out there so different from me it blows my mind and all the things they have taught me is just magic. Everyday I think how lucky I am to know such people even if they do bug me sometimes cause you know I probably bug them just as much hahaha. Lifes a gas really

 

I don't mind girls who have issues. They make me feel like I'm not alone in the world.

Thats because if you're the guy and you are happy, then it means
that you are not working hard enough to buy her expensive useless stuff.

If you are miserable, then she is happy because you are working hard enough
to buy her lots of useless stuff.

So:

if you want to be happy together : its better for the guy to pretend to be miserable.

Why would anybody want a "normal" girl? If my girl had half the issues I have I'd be a lot happier than I am now just from not having to feel alone.

but I do believe in people who set expectations too high so that real people with real problems can't ever stand up to it, and I also believe in people who miss out on meeting and truly connecting a lot of AMAZING people due to overuse of completley unfounded generalizations...

 

What, are girls just supposed to be smiley, happy, ass-kissing, blow-up dolls? Gimme a break. Men have just as many "issues," they just don't admit to it. And for the record, the issues I have have nothing to do with my self-esteem. You're just impatient and have inhuman expectations of people.

 

You're right, men have at least as many issues as women, probably more. I completely admit my issues though, much to the distress of my girlfriend.
She wants me to be as normal as she is. In many ways I'm having the opposite situation of the OP.

The smiley happy blow up doll is not my vision of a what a woman should be, Although I strongly get the impression that is what my currrent love interest expects from a guy.

I personally would much prefer a scenario where the man and woman both lean on each other for support through their problems. Unfortunately the world doesn't seem to work that way.

Men and women both need to give each other a break and stop demanding perfection when its an unrealistic expectation.

Why Normal?

their really shouldn't be such a word. it's society that creates such a category in my opinion.

normal is a set of characteristics that are within a certain set of tolerances, 90% of the people here are normal, and describing someone AS abnormal is normally inaccurate.

 

When a man says he wants a woman to "chill the fuck out" what he's really saying is that he wants to do what he wants, regardless of how it affects her, with no consequences.
