I cannot seem to keep my eyes open past 10pm. I do get up at 4:40ish each morning but crap....! It's Friday night and I'm trying not to be a giant old folk by delaying the washing the teeth/face, reading 6 pages of my book, and crashing the fuck out. I think my grandma stays up later than me, and I'm not even being facetious.
Hi Frieden - you're not getting old; you're just getting a good night's sleep! Since you have to get up at 4:40am, going to bed at 10pm actually only gives you about 6-1/2 hours of sleep. That's not excessive. As well, if the kind of work you do is taxing physically or mentally, that would be another good reason why your body tells you it's time to go to bed before 10pm - it knows it needs that much rest to get through the following day and waking up so early. It's fortunate you live in Hawaii - can you imagine if you had to get up at 4:40am during the winter in a place like, New Hampshire or Wyoming? Man! I wouldn't be able to do that! So, no worries - your body is behaving just right! Regards, and sleep tight! One Of The Difference
Good morning, let's face it, Frieden, you get old. And now let us talk about our geriatric shortcomings. Well, my back hurts every morning I get up. And there's trouble with my memory. Wait, who is it I am talking to? Behave young lads and don't play football on the lawn. Regards Gyro
I've found out the more out of shape I am the older I feel. Maybe you're just out of shape Frieden. Don't always go for the easy answer. Diversify your thoughts a little.
older people tend to need less sleep. the fact that not getting nearly enough sleep makes you tired is a sign that you aren't old, if anything.
