i loved perfect dark zero back when the 360 was fairly new.spawn glitch was the shit!! now i like black ops.actually starting to get decent. not sure about battlefield 3 though.im ok at sniping across the map.suck at the rest.
I played ghost recon enjoyed that quite a bit. halo 1 was good. rainbow six 3. golden eye was good for its time (perfect dark too) dont play the seriouse sam games enless your stoned or like 8 years old. not sure what else
Wolfenstein 3d for single player -- still the scariest game I've ever played (especially stoned) The original Halo or Perfect Dark for multiplayer Americas Army, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, or Aliens vs Predator 2 for online multiplayer (though I don't know if those last two are still played)
Doom 3, I like the best in the lot, really interesting game, by the way thanks for sharing other games. I haven't tried a couple of them, would definitely play now
I don't think Goldeneye 64 is the most fun anymore, but it definately was for me in the past. I had the most fun with a fps in the last couple of years with Call of Juarez: bound in blood. I'm partly biased because of the setting though.
i think the first person shooter i had the most fun with recently was wolfenstien: the old blood...its only single player but, plenty of challenge and it looks pretty amaze-balls...
Hahaa I was reading the thread title and still thought the same as this: I would say now: - Call of Juarez: Bound in blood - Bioshock Infinite Goldeneye64 was great but of course it doesn't stand up these days to the best first person shooters that came after it.
We used to have "lan parties" at a friends house and we logged many hours playing the rainbow six series of games. Fuckin' hard, but relatively realistic. the Battlefield series of games also saw a lot of action those days. one of my favorites for just shooting shit was the Unreal Tournament series of games. Now thanks to a jacked up nerves and a general boredom with them, i haven't played any FPS games in ages, plus as I got older certain games would have me nauseous and on the verge of puking within 10 minutes. some old school ones I enjoyed were Duke Nukem and Rise of the Triad.
I also massively enjoyed Duke Nukem back in the day. Too many pixels now though And I also recall Unreal tournament being really big. It was fun. I guess if I was more into multiplaying I would have other favs, but now I am focussing on singleplayer FPS experiences. And because I too have a general boredom for this gaming subgenre my fav list is influenced by how much the setting appeals to me (and of course how well exactly it is brought to life )
I am absolutely baffled that not one single person said 'half life 2' i hate most fps and that was one of my favorite games ever.
I didn't play half life 2... So that might be it. Surely one of my first. I remember when I got to the bridge of the Enterprise in one level. Now we would barely even recognize it as the Enterprise but then there was nothing better in 3D so it was awesome
