Here is an excursion you can expect to take when you decide to create a world other than the one you see. You get to discover fire all over again, it's acquisition , it's uses and it's effects. Darn, I am am out of seasoned wood.
You are amazing. I didn't appreciate that unseasoned wood does not burn as hot as seasoned wood. I suspect from observation the reason that much of the energy is consumed evaporating moisture and steam is a lower temperature than fire.
This is just a country boys observation, but dry wood burns hotter because it burns faster. Water inhibits fire, so wet wood burns slower. It actually puts out exactly the same amount of BTU but over a longer period of time. I believe scientific law suggests that you cannot actually create anything. You have to have something in order to make something, you can't just go around creating worlds.
I see, so it burns hotter in the moment. My thought was not that the entire energy was not being consumed, but that yes, steam is not as energetic. That is, it would take a very long time to steam wood to ashes.
Right on, what is your capacity for transportation of said zombies, or do you expect them all zombiefied and such to come to you?
Our hopes and dreams may or may not appear in time. But what ever will, be done, is done. The things we hope for appear for us as we practice toward them. Excite yourself, learn about what is around you, very exciting.
It's not possible for people to create energy. This is the scientific first law of thermodynamics. You can change energy from one form to another, but you cannot create it. I have energy in a can to my left right now, in the form of Dr. Pepper. In a little bit I will be using that energy to create specifications. Some of it will turn into body fat, some will exit as waste and be purified back into water. Lots of different forms and uses of energy, but not creating a thing.
Ahh, but energy flows through you and you direct it. Any jackass can carry a bag of rocks from one spot to another. What most people call creation in this world, is just pushing dirt around. Being creative is honing your ability to create temporary conditions for your self and others, and you may do this to the extent that your effects are certain. Every thought has an effect on the quality of temporary conditions, that is all thoughts are equally creative but they create to the extent that you focus on them, cultivate them. A fleeting dreamy thought has not much observable effect but it has occupied your mind and disrupted the moments that could be spent creating the conditions you really want to see as opposed to dreaming about them. This unfocused dreamy aspect of mind multiplied many times over the face of the planet, constructs the chaos you see.
that was certainly my furst thought. of course i've had wet dreams about surviving a rapid and dramatic population reduction. all the lovely abondond ruins and no one telling me not to live in and explore them. statistically each of us, of everyone, would be more likely to be among the non-survivors of such an event. but still for those who do, what i wouldn't give to be one of them.
