Police support for Occupy Buffalo has been outstanding. We have even gotten a few beeps from them. Cops on state, county, and city levels have showed at least a little support for us. They probably know we are out there fighting for their pensions along with everything else.

There will be a response from the feds over this, just watch. They will enforce discipline among the ranks of the police, because the police are the first line of defense against the people. If they lose the police, the revolution is won, and they know it.

They will probably issue orders instructing the police to obey executive orders or they will be fired or put on leave.

I'll tell you this, if the police were to JOIN the protests, en masse, you'll see the National Guard come out in force. The Governors control them and they can use them to enforce any orders they choose.

But the police are correct in their judgements. If the people are peaceful there is no reason to arrest them or make a scene. Police rioting is the cause of nearly all injuries during protests.

But the people can only stand so much abuse. With the whole world watching, what happens in one protest, is like it is happening everywhere. So the police have to be on their guard.

Just one death and suddenly the movement has a MARTYR!

    Is that what they want?

And let's NEVER FORGET THE IMMORTAL WORDS OF OUR FEARLESS LEADER, Ronald Reagan who said:

"If it's a bloodbath they want, let's get it over with!"

And with that he ordered the National Guard to attack peaceful student protesters in Berkeley.

Let's hope those days are gone. But I fear not.

    Comment From the article:
I just sent him my thanks and my signature was "Keep the Peace" instead of my usual "Peace"...

OH SHIT! I was just thinking...

Anonymous posted up this police chief's personal info including home addy and phone #. (I think they did it for all the police chiefs).

    Maybe he's worried...LMAO!

Kind of weird these days, I am sure the National Guard knows its part of the 99 % Maybe the 1% fatal flaw will be the fact that they fucked everyone. These guys in the Guard probably spent time deployed in one war or another, then they will be called in to attack their own citizens and fellow soldiers. With everyone getting the same financial fucking and waking up and realizing it who will be left to stand with the 1%

There's a very good chance the National Guard would side with the people this time, given the history of such actions against protesters in the past, ie: Kent State, Jackson State, Berkeley, Chicago 1968, etc.

And should THAT happen it's all over for this government. Imagine all these highly trained, experienced soldiers given arms, then put on the streets and then deciding to side with the people, as the army did in Egypt...

Of course then the regular army would be put on the streets by Obama and it would become a civil war. Maybe it's better most of them are overseas...

That's awesome! The commander showed courage with the risk of career and political backlash. Or he's sending a message he wants more funds or resources.
Yep, the feds are ruthless. They have a history of firing and killing protesters. Like the army vets after WW1, union strikers, college students protesting Vietnam.

That's awesome news! I hope the outcome of this movement is a good one. I've been feeling like there was going to be a movement that would change the world for a while now.. I knew it was in my lifetime it would happen. Maybe this is the one? The one where the cops team up with civilians, fight the government. Maybe it's what the mayan's predicted too... Maybe 2012 is the start of a new world. And the end of this one, and this is how it all started...

I think you guys are overestimating how far the government will go to fight the people outright.

Once your country is in a state of out-and-out war with itself, you don't even fall under the catagory of a "state" (you must have a "legitimate" monopoly on violence to belong to this catagory).

If the army started siding with people, or even police en masse, the government would quickly make it look like everyone just misunderstood, and make a few banks pay some taxes, and wait until it was all forgotten.

The civil war was one thing-they wanted to "right" to keep fucking slaves, and tried to break the union. That's betrayal, and just cause for war, and even so, the whole south is still butthurt about it, I see confederate flags daily. A civil war in defense of the banks would be the ruin of the government, even if they clung to power it wouldn't last long, just one more election cycle for everyone and there would be political chaos and dissent, and they WILL NOT let it happen so easily.

When the first real lead flies, the government will be shitting itself. If more than a handful of protesters die, suddenly people will realize our government is just the same as those that we talked down for shooting protesters recently in the middle east. You can repress people with money, and starve them to death while blaming them for not wanting to work at mcdonalds, but you can't shoot them in the streets without causing serious problems. The US is finially forgetting viet nam and the last round of that, they don't want it back. It alienated a lot of people who would have sided with the government before indiscriminately shooting at protesters, I think it stopped just in time last time around to keep suburban dads from breaking out their guns when their kids got shot.

Remember, "there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass", if one was to invade the US. Even most of the military would refuse to do a thing, the orders wouldn't even get passed down. Civil war in the US simply would not work in defense of that sort of moneyed elite. And even if it could, they would save it all, just to lose it all, because the US would have NO more international credit or anything of that nature, there would be no money to buy things in the US and nobody wanting to risk doing business with us.

Still seeing casey anthony on the news, right before AND after the OWS segments. Pathetic.
