So, a friend of mine gave me a pill before I moved. I had it stowed away in my purse and since then I've forgotten what exactly it was. I know it was either an antidepressant or a pain reliever. I took it at work today and ended up having to leave early because I couldn't function correctly. I literally felt like my entire body was shutting down. I could barely talk without slurring my words, my brain didn't feel like it wanted to function at all, and I barely had the energy to stand up. I reached a point where I wanted to cry because I had no idea how I was going to keep my eyes open, much less make it through the last hour of work. I've never been so tired in my life. Even driving home was terrifying because I kept dozing for a second or two at the wheel. It was a tiny little round foam green pill. I THINK it might have been clonopin, but I'm not sure at all. Does anyone have any idea what this sounds like?
a kpin comes in green.. I drove on them once, im not sure how I made it home.. someone found me in my driveway laying in the car with my legs hanging out the door..
Green Klonopin are 1mg Clonazepam, an anti-anxiety drug called a benzodiazepine. They are mildly psychologically addictive but quite physically addictive. Some people find them euphoric, others like me, find them boring (I have been prescribed them for 5-6 years).
I have to agree with Rat here. Taking strange pills at work doesn't seem like the best idea. It's an anti anxiety benzodiasapine. It works on GABA A in a fairly similar way that alcohol works. I like 'em.
Most people that have seen a kpin will remember what they look like. she probably knew exactly what it was. but not the strength of it. AS others said. 1mg and .50mg is green. 1mg of kpin is much stronger than .50 . Kpins are very fast acting. Within 15minutes sub effect can be felt. Kpin and atavan are the only benzos I like..
In England Klonopin are white but maybe that's because Klonopin is a trade name but mine just says Clonazepam on the box.
I'm aware that it's not the best place to take pills. I knew it was either a muscle relaxer or an antidepressant. Both of which I've taken quite strong doses before. Stronger than that was supposed to be. That's why I took it. You can't say you've not done silly stuff before that maybe you shouldn't have. Once in a while I like trying shit like that. It's not something I do on the regular and usually confined to my own home or with a close friend. Once again I'm aware it's not the smartest thing but neither is a lot of stuff that people do on the regular. I just wanted to find out what all people on here know about it.
I don't think you know what antidepressant means, because if you randomly take high doses of anti-depressants you can cause some pretty serious problems (stroke, seizure, etc.). i think you're mixing up anti-anxiety and anti-depressant.
Noo...I'm aware of the difference. I've taken both. And never a high dose. I have a friend who has gotten both from her doctor. I've never doubled up or anything. I keep it low since I do it recreationally. Edit: example: Xanax. I've only taken twice. A full bar the first time only half the second.
anti-depressant have no recreational value.. they may induce somnolence. but truthfully it is not as hypnotic as a benzo..
I took 4 mg of suboxone at work like two weeks ago. I got flored, lied down and talked to my friends girlfriend for the rest of my shift. Beforehand I was warned, 'that's way too much.' It was fun, but it was too much to do at work. But I'm sort of a bad ass. You don't want to do the things that I do. They lead towards destruction. Specifically, it's clonazapam. Klonopin is a brand name. Klonopin is not an antidepressant or a muscle relaxer. You should not be taking any antideprassants recreationally. You can overdose in several different ways, and they're not fun. It's a benzodiazapine used to control anxiety (Usually Genaralized anxiety disorder) and seisures. It's in the same class of drugs as valium and xanax. I like the stuff. Goes good with a beer or two. (Caution: This will give you amnesia.)
My mother takes those. But she doesn't use them to get high or too just take them. She needs them for her anxiety and too handle her job.. I agree with rat maybe not the best time too take a pill for the first time without knowing what it is
Yeah. All of the drugs marketed by the FDA strictly as "antidepressants" are of no recreational value. They include the Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, the Serotonin-Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors, and the Tricyclic Antidepressants. None of those agents are recreational. They are very subtle agents that can take weeks to work, if they work at all. Most scientists agree that the success rates for 'real' antidepressants is only around 55%! However, since these agents are so crappy for most people, there are other drugs, which are not approved as antidepressants, that are given to depressed people 'off-label.' Those include benzodiazepines (which are anti-anxiety and sleep drugs that can help some people with agitated depression), stimulants (amphetamines and similar drugs which are marketed for ADHD, narcolepsy, and severe obesity, but help in patients with anhedonic depression), and other drugs. Now, THOSE drugs COULD be recreational. In fact, I am prescribed a benzo (Klonopin) and a stimulant (Vyvanse- dextroamphetamine) for off-label treatment of depression and anxiety, after I showed no improvement on VARIOUS 'legitimate' antidepressants like Lexapro, Cymbalta, Effexor, Paxil, Elavil, etc. So, in the strict FDA sense, no antidepressant is recreational (which kind of PROVES that they don't work- if they worked wouldn't they have potential for recreation?!). However, drugs COMMONLY used by psychiatrists (not so much by Family Doctors because they are afraid of Scheduled drugs...) are abuse-able.
I was prescribed Xanax before my MRI 1 mg I think. I had 2 left and I decide to save them for my plane ride to Vegas. Was a bumpy flight, just knowing I had them made me feel better
That is the best way to use benzodiazepines. They are good to have on hand just in case something really awful or difficult-to-handle occurs, but not so much for taking round the clock. I wish that years ago, I didn't need them 'round the clock so that I would have never built a tolerance to them, and so that I could have subsequently terminated my use of them. But since I was at 4mg of Klonopin per day at one point, I still have to take 3/4mg per day to not get withdrawal symptoms even though I hate the feeling they give me.
