My locks are about 18 months old now and they aren't goin anywhere! I wash them with a non residue-daily clairifying shampoo, and moisturize them with jojoba oil after they are dry. there HAS GOt to be a way to be a way to get these bad boys to be smooth! Its like there is an extra layer of loose hair around ALL of my dreads. Any suggestions OTHER THAN ignoring it? I am not into goop...meaning beeswax. I have never really put anything in my hair (other than moisturizing them).
I am a wife, a mother, a fulltime worker in MANY areas other than just home. Its important to represent the dready family in a positive way and not resemble a 12 year old rag doll all the time! I have seen MANY beautiful dreads and I know it is obtainable....I just don't know how!!!!
    Thank you for your advise!

there's nothing you can do about it. but the oil is probably not helping with frizz.

yeah, stop with the oil, you're only conditioning them.

oil=any new knots in the frizz just get lubricated out.

Also, if you can't look like you have locks, why do you want to have locks? Beautiful locks are quite possible, if you're not shooting for something your hairtype can't do. Or if your idea of beautiful is attainable through manicuring.
