Hey there guys and girls. I'm new to the forum I'm looking for new ways to have a good time and I read around that salvia was an excellent way of having it. I'm turning 19 this oct 27, and probably with all the money I get (i HOPE i get money from someone), I'll go buy a bong and some salvia. I'll be doing it with some friends too, probably two or three. I don't have a clue though... which salvia I should buy? I've read that it comes in different doses (10x? 20x? not sure if this i'm right). I want to spend my birthday in a very special way, and I've always been interested in 'seeing things that aren't there' or pretty colors and stuff and I've decided that I want to get high with salvia along with some friends take care
When I experimented with Salvia I picked up the 20x. I picked up a gram for maybe 30 or 40 bucks. It lasted quite a while since it only takes one good rip to produce overwhelming effects. And they are for a lack of a better term often overwhelming. Not to say that is bad. Do a little research and read some trip reports to get a better idea of what the drug is all about before you go do it with your buddies. What other psychoactives have you experimented with? You will not only find crazy colors and see things that are not there but might even find your self somewhere that isn't. I love salvia. Also my birthday is the 27th too.
DUDE Salvia is not some FUN game that you take to get your kicks and jollies like the idiot teens on youtube THis is some serious plant that if you dont respect it, its going to whip your ass so badly you will likely end up in a mental hospital. It comes as a LEAF ( plant ) how shamans take it, by chewing and its slower but lasts longer. Or as an extract which is extremely potent, fast acting but doesn't last as long. One thing, this is not a plant that gives just pretty colors, if you want that.. go to toys r us and by a night light! This is liable to terrify you, make you think you are locked into a different world, make you feeling like your dying ( while on the outside friends will think you are getting your jollies OFF, but you wont know that, as you will likely be screaming for your mommy ) Now on the flip side, it may just screw with your mind, make you feel like your dying and be less terrifying Its like throwing a coin in the air 50/50 Will you go to the land of OZ Or the land of the walking dead Its the risk you will have to take.. This is NOT LCD, NOT POT, its not for dopey, lets get high.. This is serious stuff
I agree this is not LCD, I would much rather get a flat-screen myself than salvia. I would also rather try mushrooms or LSD or something similar than salvia for a first trip experience. Some people know how to use salvia properly, but for the masses it cradles balls.
Perhaps you should just pick up a dime bag and a six pack then my man. Start slow. Idk what my life would be like if my first psychoactive experience was with Salvia Divinorum.
yes i'm certainly in agreement with well arranged dust on this, man salvia is no recreational drug. i hardly like the description 'drug' for salvia because it is in a league of its own. i've only known one guy thats actually truly had a desire to repeat the experience multiple times without being scared out of his mind. my first time i smoked extract i had about a half cone of strong stuff thinking it would probably not do anything or at most be a buzz, mind you at that time i'd had extensive exp. with heavy dose acid, shrooms, pot, ecstasy, cocaine, various rc's you name it i'd had it. anyways i smoked this cone, put the bong down, held it in for as long as possible and after a few seconds it was as if everything around me, even the air itself had solidified and was frozen, colours of everything melted and ran upwards like wet paint as i sat there dumbfounded with this sense of impending doom, then it felt and looked as if the world was tearing apart and my body felt as though i was being electrocuted and drowned at once, all i thought was "what is happening, what have i done?! am i dying? i don't want to die" i did not remember i had smoked anything it was the most fear i have ever experienced. i remember laying back on my bed and then i was sinking into my bed as if my bed was the surface of water and i was being pulled under the surface, my room and all familiarity was slowly disappearing into darkness and there was nothing i could do to stop it, i began trying desperately to swim up to the surface of my bed but my efforts were pointless and i kept sinking, then suddenly i remembered vaguely i had smoked the salvia and it was causing this destruction of the world, i began laughing at the situation and my own stupidity at underestimating the herb, then i could not stop laughing or i could not breathe so i continued laughing for some time as the effects slowly began to diminish and my room came back into veiw, i sat up looking around in absolute and total awe of what had just taken place, so happy to once again see the world.. i picked up the bag of salvia extract in half disbelief that it had just done that to me, i mean it looked like tea leaf.. sheesh. such is the power of salvia, and i never even broke through.
It seems like I completely underestimated Salvia. But still, I am intrigued to find out its power. I know you guys have warned me but I just don't know what else I would do if I don't try it for the first time. And when I said "I'm new to all of this" I really meant that I'm new to psychoactives. I already smoke weed. I just want to experiment with new things, expand and get to know almost everything so I get a good grasp in knowing what's good and what's not. I'll eventually go and buy salvia and try it... I'll come back here and try to be as detailed as I can be (if there are some words you might not understand, please excuse me. English is not my first language, it's spanish. I'm from Puerto Rico)
be sure to do more research on it before you dive in headfirst, and above all have a tripsitter that you trust.
I would not recommend you do salvia period at your age, much less as your first real psychedelic, and even MUCH less as a birthday present to yourself with all your money. You're going to end up with one extremely terrifying and strange experience, and a whole bunch of money locked up in a bag of plant matter you will likely have no urge to smoke again. I say save your money and hold out for something better like mushrooms, LSD, hell even Ketamine.
From just reading this thread I think I'll pass on this stuff... I'm not a drug user at all...but this...As much as I love to do crazy things...This I would have to pass...
and if you're going to smoke it, use a pipe, not a bong. it's water soluble (unlike weed), so you'll be losing a lot of the good stuff in the water.
egg is right, don't use a bong to smoke it. i smoked the 50x from a bong and felt nothing, but three bowls of just the leaf...wow anyways i've been a heavy drug user and i can tell you right now that i think salvia is probably the strongest hallucinogen on the planet. the thing about it is (as someone else stated) you don't really know what you're getting before you smoke it. every time i've done it something different happens in my head, but one thing stays the same: no matter how many people are really in the room there is usually just yourself in your head. and really that's an overestimate, sometimes you don't even get to have yourself i've had times where i thought i was playing in the plasma of the sun (my friend told me i was reaching around the backseat of his car like an idiot) or times where i thought i was trapped in a closet (in a living room full of people). but one thing i think everyone has gotten wrong so far is how long it lasts. i'm gonna go ahead and recommend you do it on your birthday because even if it's a bust or you have a bad trip, it's over in 20 minutes. it might SEEM like hours in your head but trust me... smoking it you trip for 15-25 minutes. the only more INTENSE trip than salvia is injecting ketamine. it doesn't give you the visuals or out-of-body that salvia will, but shooting ketamine feels like peaking on ten hits of amazing acid
i bought an ounce of the salvia leaf a while back, we didn't have a pipe with a big enough bowl so we just did buckets of it. one hit (using a 2L coke bottle) sent me to narnia. it was a really weird experience... i don't know if i'll do salvia again. i didn't have a bad trip by any means, but i just didn't really see the appeal to it.
i can understand that egg, because i'm still trying to find a hallucinogen that i actually LIKE. right now i can only find ones that i'll just DO. like the ketamine was free and there was a ton of it for like a week because my best friend's GF stole some from her work. acid is always relatively cheap and it's better than sobriety. mushrooms are ridiculously priced, even if you get them "cheap" at 20 an 8th. you can grow them for free... but that seems like a huge waste of time and effort unless you sell them. DXM is easy to cook and cheap but honestly (like the others) it's just stupid. i mean give me some opiates or benzos any day over this stupid hallucinogen crap. you know what? come to think of it i've changed my mind. spend your money on a roxy, blow it, get peeled, have best bday ever
If you do plan on taking it, before you do... go buy some of those adult diapers or a thick pair of underwear and your going to fill it up
Have you at least done pot before? Because then you could probably do it. I have a friend who has pretty much only smoked pot before his salvia experience and he was fine. But listen to the strong arguments on this thread, it's not just some fun drug to see pretty colors. Psychedelics are a serious thing.
I finally tried salvia and I think I can tell you guys what was it like. After I was done taking all the hits I took, my mouth tasted extremely weird, something I've never tasted before in my life. Afterward, that taste was soon associated with a rubber band for some reason (when you put it in your mouth and start chewing it). Then I started to feel the effects. I saw myself on top of a boat, I thought it was a pirate ship (???). I felt like someone who represented power, someone that could lead thousands of men into battlefield and they would follow without hesitation (but come to think of it, all the men that were staring at me were my friends waiting to see my reaction). I started speaking and my voice was completely different, I spoke like a pirate. Since I spoke like a pirate my mind somehow assumed I was one since I was standing on a wooden ship, with my crew in front of me and the view of the sea behind them. It was so clear but so unclear at the same time. I felt like I had a beard, an eye patch, funky pirate clothes - everything. In my salvia trip... I was seven-seas-sailing pirate....
