My friend and I have become a wee bit obsessed with games lately. At least twice a week we go to a coffee house and drink lattes while losing ourselves in a grudge match of board games. Our favorite is Sorry! We also play Othello, Yahtzee, and Uno from time to time. We are looking for some other games to play. The obvious ones have been ruled out, such as monopoly, chess, checkers, Risk, etc. This is mostly because I really really hate playing all of them. Haha. Maybe we'll pick up scrabble. If there were more of us, we'd be playing pictionary every day. Man...I'm such a nerd.
Christy: I've invented a new word game you might like to try. It works like this: Players choose a topic (e.g. food, love, work, travel). Then, everyone writes words on slips of paper which they associate with the topic (phrasal verbs are okay, too). These slips are folded up, mixed, and put into a draw bag or box. Finally, everyone takes turns drawing cards from a deck and following the instructions. There are more than 700 different word games to play, and many more cards that rearrange the game a little to keep things interesting. How can I send you the file?
Nerds are just elite people. What you and your friend do sounds amazing! Except for ruling out chess and Risk, that's just bad on your part.
