Working, then donating time in a soup kitchen to feed the poor, and after that the Christmas thing...giving gifts, church, spending time with my family...

Cool...it would be cool if you helped in the same soup kitchen as me, cause we usually end up having food fights...

    Sounds like fun :)

Last time I volunteered at a soup kitchen, some kid kept hitting on me.

I did, but my parents were there and that was odd. It was some kid younger than I was at the time. I gave him a hug before we left.

Awww bless ya...I think younger would be weird. I'm sure your parents would have understood, heck you were volunteering your time already, everything happens for a reason. I take it you had no communication with him after that?

i am saying prayers to gaia, green tarra, bast and the great spirit for my mother who is ill over hannacha. i will probably light one candle and maybe a stick of incense for midwinter's eve.

and my wife and i will probable have a meal with her,
at her place unless she insists on hobbling the six blocks to ours.

my wife = baha'i with 'christian' traditions
my mother = baha'i with jewish traditions
my self = just an awairness that belives everything is possible until proven other wise and who tries to avoid deceiving myself

    =^^=

I'm sure there is. Even if it's only a few hours. You'll probably want to do it more. There is no satisfaction like seeing the smile on a homeless person at Christmas, and knowing they got a meal. It makes them feel like they're not alone. It's priceless...

why are you digging a hole to china..??

probably the same reason i am digging a hole to Australia ?? maybe ??

I am going to my city centre, with a loud speaker and telling any one that will listen that christmas is the biggest worst pile of christian bullshit ever ..and that it should not have anything to do with christianity anyway...i think i will be pelted with mouldy tomatoes ... but anyway :p

whoever thinks jesus was born on the 25th needs to get some medication..

what are we all celebrating anyway ????

This year is going to be a bit crazy................
My step-daughter's father is comming home from Afghanstan, so she will be spending the entire week with him because the military is kind enough to let him come home for a week (kind of an oxymoron. Military / kind enough. LOL!) So, she will not be with us:( . I have to split the Christmas holidays with my ex-wife. So, this year we have her on Christmas Eve. We will go over to my Aunts this Christmas Eve, drop off my daughter over to her mother's house, then head home or possibly leave for Winchester, Indiana where my wife's family is (did not decide if wee will go Christmas Eve or early Christmas Day). Then after dinner, turn around back to Chicago's Burbs so my wife and I can be home for work the next day................

Hopefully I did not confuse you guys too much while reading this:confused: ...................
