Every province if not each region (ie. the maritimes, the great white north, the west) has its own way of life, traditions, languages, why is Quebec the only one that wants to seperate when they were one of the first to join confederation. Oh yeah thats right its about language, personally I don't see language as being such an issue coming from NB official bilingual province. Why can't we just embrace that one person speaks English and one French, some both and thats what makes us Canadian. You don't see the American Spanish speaking people creating there own country. Or the multitude of different cultures and languages in the maritimes or out west banding together to create their own country. Why is it so different in Quebec?

The Inuit culture and language is very prominent up in the great white north, they're not creating they're own country...why should Quebec?

Because 1) there are only 30k Inuit. 2) They're a membre of the 1st nations and are therefore already considered a nation 3) They have a different form of gouvernement than the rest of Canada.

Anglophones constantly open their mouths without knowing shit about what they're talking about.

    Just what is a canadian?

well I'm Canadian, and like most Canadians I am of a mixed pedigree. Algonquin, French, English, Scotish, Irish and Ukranian (listed by thier respective arrivals to the continent). In fact my family geneoly more or less recounts the MANY wars, upheavels and mass movements of people which shaped the country.

What drives me crazy when I read a thread like this is just how bloody ignorant people on both sides of this debate are. News flash to Anglophones: Francophones make up roughly 25% of our population(sorry montreal mark but I'm calling you on that 43% BS, like most of what you wrote it seems to be pulled right out of your arse)and have a history which dates back over 400 years in the country. News flash pour les Quebecois: Cette 25% viens pas uniquement de Quebec. Canada has a rich AND diverse francaphone heritage which literally stretches from coast to coast to coast. Les metis, Les franco ontarien et manitoben et les Acadiens, il ya des racines francaises partout dans ce pays.

News flash to all Canadians there is no A-typical Canadian identity and no culture exists in isolation.

There is no typical "english canadian culture". You stick a maple leaf
on McDonalds and think you're not americans. We have singers, poets
    meals, history, etc.

What do english candiens have ? HARPER and the Reform/Tea Party North.

Include in that 25% the nations of the Metis
    The Acadiens
The other francophones ouside of Québec.

I'm just going to point out that as of a poll in 2009 only 28% of Quebecers thought they should separate. In addition, the Bloc Quebecois votes as of the last election were way down with under a 1/4 of Quebecers voting for them. So as I see it, the people have spoken for themselves....

In Québec you are called "Québécois(e)" if you are francophone and born in Québec. And you are called "Quebecer" if you are an anglophone born in Québec.

It is without argument that politicians can manufacture a poll to say
anything they want it to say. But the truth is until you are either
    Québécois or Quebecer.

You can have an opinion but it does not matter. The people of Québec will
    decide our own future.

If the bullshit continue and Canada continue to
manipulate Québec. As the economy goes bad the people of Québec will
    become violent again.
