Who is your enemy but the one who defends himself against you? They are not gods enemies. We love our enemies because love is the remedy to what ails us both.

That leaves the second part of the saying, pray for those who persecute you.

To pray for those who persecute you is to ask for their blessing in gods name.

I offer that I had asked waterbrother for a decent hearing in christs name and did I not receive his blessing when he said in effect, if I were right with god, I could be a force for good.

First, "Who is your enemy but the one who defends himself against you?" This is not found in the Bible anywhere. "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" does not cover it.

As for; "they are not gods enemies", the enemies of God's people are God's enemies. "For he that is touching YOU is touching my eyeball."(Zechariah 2:8)

Second; "To pray for those who persecute you is to ask for their blessing in gods name", praying for these ones is not for blessing their bad works in persecuting you but for their awaking from their persecution that they may come to their senses and be blessed for turning to the truth.

Last; "I offer that I had asked waterbrother for a decent hearing in christs name and did I not receive his blessing when he said in effect, if I were right with god, I could be a force for good.", I offer that for a long time now I have given you a decent hearing in the Christ's name and have continually blessed you by telling you the truth and good news from God's Word.

As for saying that "if 'you' were right with god, 'you' could be a force for good", what better blessing could be offered to anyone than saying that you could be an honored servant of God? To say otherwise would not be a blessing but a curse.

So do I deny the spirit? Not the Holy Spirit, it is you that denies the Holy Spirit by prefering what your spirit says rather than listening to what God has authored through men we know were guided by His Holy Spirit.

As for the Holy Spirit in my life, I am always open to it's leadings, right now but also from the past.

As I pointed out god's will has nothing to do with your belief in the bible. Your belief produces the effects you see in the world. The measure you give is the measure you receive. If you deny the spirit in me, you simply deny the spirit. If you see the spirit it me, it is because you had invited the spirit to come to you. What you ask of god is truly given.

You are correct, what you believe does not change the Christ's teachings but teaching things that do not agree with the Christ's teachings can lead ones away from the truth and that is no minor matter.
