Get ready folks! The Feds seem are going to crack down in California because we are on the verge of legalization of marijuana. They hope to cut a big revenue source for publications to keep pro-marijuana information out of the public's view prior to unleashing their own propaganda war in California! Just wait! Aren't there real problems for the government to focus on? Like unemployment? This is counter productive to say the least. Stand strong CA!
Goes to show-doesn't matter what law or laws the citizens pass-if law enforcement wants to circumvent any law--they will. In this case, they feel you can't just have people using a substance that might make them increase their awareness of issues that power would rather remain hidden. And of course ,the giant taxpayer- fed agencies that benefit them,by enforcement. Ironic that WE pay for them to jail US.
if you think about what is really going on.We have pot like crazy right now..The Feds see this and have a couple of ways to deal with it.If they let it go any further it will be way out of hand..I think they are trying to nip it in the BUD so to speak as far as the president right now he has his plate full with alot of important stuff as you know this is not on his priority list...
This is election time, I think the fed will step up and give a half azzed show of their MJ policy enforcement. But its all hot air, there is no way the tide can be reversed now and they know it. This is posturing and has little steam to actually change what will be. Im thinking, When the election is over, The Fed MJ policies will swing towards legalization and begin the process of thinking of MJ as another American taxable goods and services. My guess ,If Obama wins we could see positive change in the next four years. If Mitt Romney wins it may take longer but no president can continue to tear the country apart Over such an obvious issue.
is still dont understand why the have such a problem with people who smoke dope. what are they scarred off
Kenny, you are on to something. The papers/stations could sue for violation of freedom of the press. The legal definition of censorship is controlling the CONTENT of speech (print/broadcast) by the government. Definitely an arena to use a class action suit. No one is trying to get the hooker ads or the lying sacks of snot who use the word massage as code for prostitution out of back pages, just pot ads. And real head shops are free and clear. A fine line, I used to point out constantly on this site.
