http://www.************/event.php?eid=144937025580428 20,000 people are wanted to protest on wall street. There will be peaceful barricades, tents, and kitchens. It will last several months. It will be about many things. Stopping the corporations from being so money hungry, stopping the war, legalizing marijuana. The main focus as of now is revoking corporate personhood. Either way, I suggest you go there for the sake of rebelling. The more people the more of an impact it will have on our society. This is all assuming it goes smoothly. I hope that the police don't kill anyone. If they do, I will feel especially bad seeing as how I've suggested that you all go and there is a chance that some of you will, and wouldn't have without my suggestion. That being said, this is supposed to be a peaceful protest. I will probably be bringing a bunch of pot. I suggest you all do too. How about we shoot towards 100,000? :sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny:
I think it's going well--shit, I think it's kicking ass! The media were saying they're "leaderless", maybe 'cause they have no asshole politicians or rich people backing them, or should I say, fronting them, like the tea party does, but they don't need "leaders", they are leaders. The media was trying to ignore them until it was too embarrassing because it became too big. Now it's systemic, and I hope it's here to stay till things change, 'cause nothing will change until it gets big enough, and the stench of rotting corpses on wall street becomes too much to bear, even for the banksters. And yet I've heard them compared to the tea party, what a joke. Most of them are younger educated college grads, pissed off at the prospect of being enslaved to corporations, unlike the god fearing trailer trash or the koch bros of the tea party--"leaders" my ass. Not that I don't agree with the tea party ideology, but the tea party iself is a sham like obama was for the progressive movement. I'm all for capitalism, so long as it's real capitalism, not this socialism for the rich bullshit.
How do you know there isn't anyone backing them with the unions, and now groups like George Soros' MoveOn getting behind the protests? Yes, most of the protesters may be college age, or college grads, but that doesn't necessarily equate to being informed when the system controls education. Most of these protesters aren't protesting what should be at the heart of the matter, which is the banking system as a whole. Instead they're protesting against Wall Street and capitalism, when what we have isn't even really capitalism at all. If the OWS protests aren't being funded yet (which I am sure they are), then they will be soon. The Tea Party had some legitimate ideas before the Republican Party, the Koch bros. and the Heritage Foundation, among others, took it over. I think the Tea Party is a sham, but so is this. Actually, what good has protesting ever really done? The establishment has never listened to the people, so what makes these people think they're going to start listening to them now? Apparently many of the Democrats now support the protests, even though they work for what's being protested, which is a bit comical. The people behind Obama I am sure love these protests because it takes attention off him, even though he is just a figurehead, too.
