I love the look of dreads! So natural and really awesome looking to ! I began to dread my hair at one point in the summer, but then turned aroudn ( NOT an easy task to un-do back combed hair either) Im new also so ... im just replying to tons of threads!

I loved my dredz but mine were plastik, and they were so heavy they started giving me headaches, heres a link to explain /plastik dredz it's something you really just have to see.

I luv dreads so so much... I'm alzo a newbie...I don't have dreads, cuz i tried to make dreads but I just coudn't make it... i mean my dreads were wierd... They didn't look like dreads... well I didn't use wax or thing like these! I tried 2 make my dreads uzing the directions from HQ or zomething like thiz...
i didnt use wax or anyhting to make mine , it was just really time consuming you gotta be ready to spend hours on your dreads ... and not half assed !!! but in the end its worth it !
wax is horrable and can cause mold and other weird things to grow in your dreads... my friend stretch had a weird kinda shroom grow out the tip of one of his dreads after having them 13 years... all the parts he has waxed have sence to fall out, and he didnt even wax much.... dont wax... dread your hair naturaly or do backcombing.... enjoy the frizies without wax because someday years down the road, they will begin to go away
Yea Locks are a life style not a hairstyle thats what i say. I love havoing mine i made the misstake of backcombing hem far too skinny. I should have just let them do what they want... but iv left them since and they look a mess.. but a happy mess and thats all that matters to me Welcome!!!
I'm can never remember the address for the plastic dredz site but if you do a search for "Quinsters hair page you should be able to find it, they have a whole section on plastic with professional and DIY stuff and how to do your own hope that helps
