Heyyyo everyone!! i heard that crocheting your dreads with a pick is really damaging for your hair. SO, are there any alternatives? i was a daily crochet-user but now have not done it in a week.
It seems my dreads are not nearly as nice as a week ago, I also have super straight hair, as i am asian.. so my hair texture is not the best for dreadlocks.

Truly curious on other dreadies input, lemme know every1. thanks :)))

    Love n Light~~

Just leave them be. They'll be very messy for a while, but they'll tidy themselves up eventually. Don't be tempted to crochet again; as you said, it's very damaging to your hair as it causes breakages and will weaken your dreads.
If you want an alternative to neatening them, a bit of aloe vera gel will smooth down the loose hairs.

I crochet frizzy bits maybe once every few weeks, just go for moderation. I imagine regular crocheting for years might eventually produce noticeable damage.
