MAD The cornerstone of US strategic military policy from 1960 to 1990 Now being buried as a faux pas. Few know it exists/existed. I point it out to let those who want to know. investigate. That we play in preschool with 100 thousand nukes and say.. hit me and i'll hit you. Is pretty much the mental level of humans in general. That the US govt invested 6 trillion dollars in this 'strategy' is not so well known.. The B2 stealth exists because of it. The upside.. the Tech Your mobile phone and gps is a direct result. Your usb 'stik' is a result of this. Hundreds more filter through so its not a total waste. We could have colonies on mars instead of a thousand dead stick missiles that will end up in waste bin. Cities in orbit No poor in US Education is a better safeguard of liberty than a standing army.
I would use the word knowledge in place of education, since education has been institutionalized and is a product of the same system that is causing all the other problems you speak of. Education is too often indoctrination. It's too often repeat as I say as opposed to think for yourself. Most of the people causing the problems in the world are products of academia. More bad comes out of it than good, IMO. If people want to truly learn, they had better educate themselves instead of paying money to have someone else educate them. The present state of education is largely to blame for why America is in the predicament it's in.
Launch the Polaris, the end doesn't scare us. I think most people were aware of MAD on some level or another. Right or wrong, both sides are still on the map. That's got to be worth something. Rust in peace!
We knew it existed - we lived with it in the background or our lives. We ducked & covered in gradeschool, we built fallout shelters in our basements. It was in my high school art sketchbook.
