I watched "It's a Wonderful Life" last night. Great movie.Late 30s thru the 40s and some of the 50s is my favorite time period for movies. Haven't seen A Christmas story.
Bad Santa was just ace. You guys seriously have to watch Ingmar Bergman's Fanny and Alexander. It is a Swedish authourship film, that is based during Christmas. It is one of the most beautiful films that I have seen.

Timeless is that which "It's a Wonderful life" crosses the barriers of years (Please don't re-make it!- it is a classic, like 'The Wicker man', Psycho', 'Planet of the Apes' and 'The Italian Job' it would just not work!) . Mind you, I do like "Gremelins"
