I see this guy around school. Last Thursday, he started saying hi to me. Then on Monday night, he started a conversation with me. He sounded more talkative than he usually was. After that night, we went back to saying hi to each other and having small talk, but he seemed calmer. But now I'm feeling like he isn't as interested in talking to me anymore, and I haven't really done anything to make him think that I'm interested in him. Today, I found out that the night he first started a conversation with me, he had been drinking. And apparently he's been on Ritalin since Thursday. Do you think the substances that he's been using are affecting how he's talking to me? I'm just confused as to why he was the one to start talking to me, but now he doesn't seem as interested in me. I really don't want to lose this guy's interest and want to be friends with him.
Seems to me the only way you are going to find out for sure is if you engaged in conversation. Look into the eyes, observe the mannerisms (mindful of nerves) and listen to how he communicates. If it is in a rational manner then maybe he has found a confidence (don't knock it) though if incoherent then you may have found your answer. Only you know, is he worth the effort Good luck
The reason he was talking more is because he was drinking and it lowers inhibitions. Just because he isnt talking as much as when he was drinking doesn't mean he's not interested in you anymore, it means he was drunk that night, therefore talkative. Ritalin may be the reason he is calmer if he has ADHD. If he doesn't have ADHD, it will probably make him more talkative. Just keep talking to him saying hi and having small talk and eventually it should turn to conversations, which may then lead to a friendship.
He probably doesn't seem interested because you gave him some sort of signal that you weren't interested in him. Just start talking to him and any of these issues will sort themselves out.
Umm.... Just ask him? Chances are he's just using the social lubricating effects of these drugs to be able to talk to you. Go ask if you acutally want to know. What are you, 14?
yes, being drunk and/or on drugs affects how you act. really, ritalin still exists? did they try putting leeches on him first?
