I'm so freaking happy for them. Fuck you everyone else who didn't win album of the year :2thumbsup: Anyways, I've been listening to Arcade Fire for a bit now. Now that they are a little more well known anyone else enjoy their music?
I'm glad they won. I'm sick of seeing loser musicians whose success is only attributed to media-driven hype win awards.
Neon Bible was my soundtrack to living in the USA while the Bush crime family was in the oval office. I love their new record, and Funeral. Neon Bible threw some of their fans off, but I LOVED it.
I've always heard people rave about them, but thought they were some lame ass indie band like Death Cab from their name. I've checked out one song since they one the Grammy, and liked the music, but wasn't super impressed overall. Could you guys post some of your favorites?

The first time I listened to them I cried, lol. It was so moving and inspiring after wards I sat for a whole day almost learning all of their songs on guitar...I'm a fiend!!:guitarist:
Arcade Fire is a great mainstream "indie" band. The band members themselves seem pretty annoying, though. Their best album: Neon Bible
They just played a free outdoor show a few blocks from my appt. I was planning on going for months, but i totally forgot about it. I went to the store than i was going head over, brought the grocs home and got distracted by something. Kind of glad though, 75000 people showed up! And yes they do have groovy tunes. I love the spooky sounding xylophone thingy.
