i got one last night from my dr. and god damn my arm kills. At least i wont get the flu, right? this weed lollipop is totally helping though what are your plans on avoiding flu season?
I can understand old people and kids getting flu shots. I'm a healthy grown man. I'll see where the flu season takes me.
i've never entirely trusted these things. depends upon how well you can trust where you get them of course. i'm not saying innoculations are a bad thing in general. thy're a modern myracle. but, in recent decades there have been instances, of drug companies using clients of free clinics, and similar low cost methods of health care access, as uninformed non-voluntary subjects for field trials, of ghod only knows what. there's no reason to assume, your flu shot, or tetnis shot or other vacination, might not have a little something extra in it, and yourself being part of a population this is being tested on.
I'm pretty good at fending stuff off, knock on wood, so I'm likely just going to up my vitamin C intake (got a giant jug of SunnyD. lol).
you probably won't get that specific strain of it. i don't make plans for flu season, i just trust my manly immune system to do its job and on the rare occasions that it doesn't i just tough it out for a couple days.
I started getting flu shots when I worked in the psych hospital. A lot of our folks came in from living in god-awful unhealthy situations. Being spit and sneezed on by someone who looks like they got the plague made me a bit cautious. Been getting shots for years, haven't had the flu for years...seems like a good idea to me.
Flu shots are bullshit. They don't prevent the flu and are full of toxic chemicals. Take vitamins, eat well and get enough rest, and it shouldn't be an issue.
I've gotten a flu shot maybe once or twice, never gotten the flu. The shot only protects you from the one particular strain that was in the shot.
