    You're enlightened? Yeah sure Stupid!

    What is enlightenment? Huh? Lighten up! That's enlightenment. A sense of humper.

    Liberation=nonjudgementality.

    I have never met an enlightened Buddhist. I have met a lot of total assholes though.

    Okay, I lied. I met a few Buddhist masters - Kunzang and Pema. But I have met just as many of the opposite - egoists who love to drink and screw and fuck people over and who care nothing about you.

    You walk around caring about enlightenment - your egoist asshole. Make some money and help your loved ones you lazy fuck!

    Was there any need to be so abusive?

    It's tongue in cheek. People who think they are enlightened get immediately up in arms whenever anyone calls them on it.

    i find it humorous that we accept that any of our human habits have anything to do with enlightenment...such as 'personal abuse'. we accept all kinds of crap thinking there is a carrot on the end of the stick. donkeys love carrots. even the donkey has enough sense to not take a beating to get one, in most cases.

    however, i like judgement. that makes me judgmental. love and peace, Phil. that won't help, but there it is.

    First of all, I don't claim to have achieved enlightenment myself.
    However, it IS what I want more than anything else.

    From my understanding, the statement "You are already enlightened." means the true self, that is an inseparable part of the Formless, always already IS enlightened. As far as our experience, we only can truly know this enlightenment when we completely disidentify with the ego, all of the emotions and thoughts of the false self. That is where a practice of meditation is important. The ego does not go easily, it takes incredible intention and surrender to let go, to release any form of control. That is my focus now, on my personal path, to consistently remind myself every time
    I am identifying with my false self. Trying to cultivate an inner stillness in which the true self can arise and have more ground. Then as the true self becomes more my identity than the ego, enlightenment will be possible.

    Well the ego is duality and 'enlightenment' is not.

    How can you have no sense of identity when you have a sense of identity?

    I seem to find many barriers to enlightenment.. makes it very difficult to become a better (and more enlightened) person.. Nothing was meant to be that easy I guess haha
