I use adderall 20mg ir to help me with school and my homework, it helps me a lot but i don't use it that often b/c the crash is terrible. About 2 -3 hrs after i take it i start to feel the come down, i ache, my head bothers me, and i don't feel like talking at all and when i do talk i feel unable to communicate properly. I'm sure others feel this way too, does anyone have a cure or insight into the problem they would like to share? thanks
I take Vyvanse now, but used to take Adderall. Adderall gives a crash mainly because of the Levoamphetamine in it, whereas Vyvanse and Dexedrine are only Dextroamphetamine. I would suggest trying to get some Vyvanse or Dexedrine. When i did take Adderall, I disliked the crash and spaced my doses throughout the day, taking small amounts throughout the day to maintain a long lasting, but weaker buzz. I take Klonopin every night anyways, though, so sleep has never been an issue. I wouldn't suggest getting into benzos for the crash though. Not a good idea...
I definately agree with this. I've taken every type of add med there is and vyvanse is the smoothest one by far. I have generally heard the same thing from other people too.
cut back a little. I like Vyvanse myself. Concerta crash isn't too bad either but I couldn't come down when I wanted to, which sucked
smoke a bunch of weed. but hey I would not recommend doing that stuff often. it has side effects and after I quit using that stuff I felt odd for a while then finally felt after a long time of not using it. stuff is toxic for the brain and I can't believe that it is given to young children with developing brains.
Yeah. Even though I take Vyvanse daily, I would NOT want my young child taking something like it. Amphetamines are "adult" drugs in every sense of the word. The ride seems like it would be unbearably harsh to a kid who doesn't have "experience " with different altered states of mind. I would let my kid take it if they were in college (since if I have any kids they'll probably inherit my slew of mental illnesses anyways...) or older. I didn't start taking stimulants until I graduated from college, although looking back, I would have been a lot better of a student if my problems were properly diagnosed back then...
Damn dude, how many do you take? I always keep it going longer than 2-3 hours, foolishly, anyway can relate to a crash. those who go on long runs crash on takeoff. It's weird how at that point you can feel how you wrote speed more checks than your body can cash. you take one and feel more out of it, drained, etc. but you eat something and immediately after, would have swore that was the pill. The one thing I've found for myself, and others agree (some prefer benzos, one stacks speed and benzos) for calming down the crash of Amphetamines (or blow for that matter). Exactly what you're doing in your photo. Beer, ice cold. No need for intoxicating amounts if not desired but a couple/few beers at that time for myself and others of acquaintance, not only blocks the sensations of a crash, but replaces it with sort of it's own little energetic feeling. Good mood, talkative, intelligence, confidence sort of gig. hard to explain perhaps and IDK maybe this will be less so after the crash from one pill or pills taken together. It is negated once it gets to the sleep deprivation level. My ex wife, wanting to 'get stuff done" but avoid the total drag and mental/physical self punishment of ending up on a run. 12, 14, 16 hours straight, relentlessly (I mean like 2 or 3 cigarettes in this whole time, and those forgotten to burn down in the ashtray after 2 or 3 puffs) cleaning, organizing, trying to fix something she had no concept of (and succeeding), etc. then i'd hear the fridge shut, she'd come out with a glass bottle (Bud weiser/Ice/light, but Bud). She was still a human robot, just ran out of tasks, staring ahead, zero eye contact. before the foam in that bottle hit the halfway mark, smiles and darting eye contact, or, if in a serious mood, pretty much the same, but actually kind for once. If serious she'd then invoke her deceased little sister in some way, maybe just lay her photo out in the middle of the floor where she just vaccumed, or construct some type of memorial artwork (collages often) she wouldn't want to talk about it any other time. Maybe that should give you some idea.
I used to pop an adderall before smoking (never really been a smoker except for some phases where I loved it) to try to ensure a non drowsy/sedating or heavy, deep high, just something light where you can have some laughs, feel good, feel that throbbing bodybuzz, but not glued to the couch (not to say, do anything else). Well, I discovered that amphetamines (to include meth-)+ marijuana stacked together or just feeling some of at the same time, causes serious stuff to the brain. Think, huffing gasoline. There is IIRC a term for it (amphetamine/marijuana processed together in the brain and it's damaging effect, not like cocaethylene, a straight up fusion-2 become one in the human brain, occasionally to stupefying results. Weed and speed just will never work in harmony, they make each other akward. The paranoia hangs over every thought. I liked em together, as described above, except for when I had problems. smoking for me while meditating, or with something heavy going on I wanted to forget about, lets me take an outsider's look. Understand points of view I never stopped to consider. strips away any self delusions you may have unknowingly constructed. It makes your greatest fear reality and just a step away, but possibly manageable. Alone, weed can make you better to others and help you accept uncomfortable reality of situations (thus give you vigor to resolve them). Smoking with life events like that and Amphetamines? ;(
^ Do you have any references on this compound derived from the union of THC and amphetamine? I know quite a bit on Psychopharmacology and never heard of that particular compound. I am not doubting you, but I am just curious. I never had amphetamines with Cannabis. Interestingly, the five year span of my life when I did smoke pot happened to be between my childhood using of Ritalin and my current use of Ritalin, then Addeall, Then Vyvanse. So I never experienced the combo. Thank goodness. It sounds awful.
I may have worded that wrong, I meant it was not a true compound as is cocaethylene (an interesting one, pretty common wherever there's powder, some fascinating results such as while you can soak up 6 mags of .40 hollowpoints like you're on PCP, you can also suffocate just from being hogtied face down), both of them going on independantly at the same time has a name. I don't think i ever knew it, but over the years read it mentioned twice, once a full paragraph where it gave the term, indicated it zaps a huge amount of brain cells; somewhat recall mention of a study too, but not for sure. It sucks when you've been up days on amph, then smoke, that is the superbowl of paranoia, even if neither drug alone causes you that. Never been a smoker really but have enjoyed breif phases of it. I like my weed light, the kind where you're sharp and laughing, senses enhanced, you know what i mean. I've done seriously hard drugs but the most mind altering, the only I'd say felt mind altering, is cannabis. The second time I ever got high (at 23!) was on some Chronic from Cali. Took down 9 big bong rips, holding them. Hit me all at once and laid me out good, all day, in and out of conciousness, passed out on a hammock in some girl's mom's backyard, even threw up. Most messed up I've ever been, that includes IV Heroin, pharmaceutical Dilaudid injection in the hospital, you name it (though the Ketamine I took with a lady friend who thought it was ecstasy was pretty close). Anyway, there's a time when I can get comfortable with getting baked, but a lot of times, in social settings for instance, I wanted that kind of low impact high. figured A would keep me from getting too curled up if the weed turned out to be really powerful. And it worked (by the same token, Weed + Vicodin feels a lot stronger than the sum of its parts, to me at least). and was pretty good, but this is, again, if your mind and body are running on empty because you been at the speed for a couple or more days straight. That, you really don't want to experience. It is complete misery, and you are the one perpetuating it and making it worse. It's really awful. I envy your discipline. More combos- Benzos: My ex wife prefers it this way, stacked together, not to go up and come down. She says it takes the edge off the amphetamines. i love the edge, except when innapropriate, and always thought adding a downer would be like stepping on the power or intensity of the speed, diluting it if you will. Barbiturates: Amphetamine's polar opposite and soul mate. This was the classic pillhead combo for decades, recreational and lifestyle. One (or a dozen) to stay awake, one to put you away. Or, together as in the example above. there were plenty of amphetamine tablets that contained a barbiturate (of one of 3 types, grouped by duration of effects) for this reason. Apparently, lots of both at the same time in the wrong person can lead to tragedy. Some have reported it was the hostility or aggression of a stimulant with Barb's inhibition blocking, others said a barbiturate tendency to violent thoughts with speed's git 'er done task mastering. Who knows? not everyone has those effects from the two taken alone, could it have been the combo? IDK, but some people who ate handfulls of each did terrible things (whether or not they normally would/could have?), similar to horror stories of rampaging PCP users, crack heads, and lately I guess these bath salts. i have taken barbiturates. i like them. Benzos I do not care for. But these are more or less alcohol in tablet form. And they wear off just like that, you just 'sober up'. They are hard to come by, and were replaced by benzodiazapines long ago. today, your best bet might be an epileptic. IMO, these are the worst thing to be hooked on. Withdrawal by a heavy user can seriously be fatal or cause coma. Imagine not being able to score your daily fix and dying as a result. Tolerence is huge, in a month, you're taking a maintenance dose of what would have stopped your heart the first time. Dangerous. It's a suicide drug. Lots of people have went out on reds washed down with wine or liquor. I never personally took them together with amphetamines. Opiates: Originally, a 'speedball' was liquid meth + H, supposedly first concocted by US soldiers stationed in Korea. They called it splash because after slamming, it felt like someone threw a bucket of icewater on their face. I liked to take a dose of adderall and some point later a strong painkiller(oxy, D, morphine) dose and time it perfectly so the opiate kicks in just before the crash comes from the adderall. Can't remember what that time is, varies by person, even crash time does in the same person, but anyway it works out nicely. Even popping them at the exact same time has the effect. For me, the opiate overpowers an equivalent strength seeming dose of amphetamines. i prefer to take these orally in any case. It takes a long time, sometimes, but i enjoy the come up, the anticipation of the come up is like a kid on christmas morning. You start feeling it in your chest, breathing shallows and your voice weakens, this feeling of total content starting to take over. I have patience and enjoy iy. Don't want to miss possibly the best part. Plus it never seemed right to me to to crush and chop up a pill and snort it. Besides what could be and inconvenience, snorting really is just for coke or methyphenidate in my mind. Alcohol: Speed trumps booze. I've been pretty wasted and took some oranges and snap, like that, sober, walking a straight line. These help you win the drinking contest every time, even a lightweight will be knocking them back. Do not drink wine. It constricts brain capillaries that amphetamines want wide open. it will give you a terrible hangover. Dehydrated me pretty bad one time. it was freezing in the room when i woke up, but it hurt too bad to reach and pull up the blanket. I just laid there suffering. viagra: Tried this once, with the long term one (Cialis? IDK but paid a hell of a lot for that pill). Didn't work. and my ears, oh man, beet red and moving with my pulse. Have read of a rash of heart attacks in gay men in NYC, apparently this cocktail being used at parties and orgies, consisting of crystal, ecstasy, and viagra.The recipe is understandable, but so is the incredible strain of those plus the exertion of sexual activity, it's really no wonder. i am curious to what goes on biologiaclly when a vasoconstrictor (methamphetamine) and viagra go to work, which wins? When i used to lift weights (which was the only time I used A as prescribed, trying to minimize the spike in cortisol and the malnourishment of not eating for days) took NO2 so nothing ruptured in the middle of a heavy squat. funny how amphetamines make many folks horny as hell, while simultaneously shriveling a guy up to smaller than his thumb, and a woman dry as a sandbox. Yet some do it and have marathons. If anything, makes me too sensitive to last as long as i would've without. OTOH, it would let me rest up for 20 minutes or so and get right back up in there. Re tobacco inquired on in another thread, makes me smoke like a fiend. 3+ packs (once 6 in a 24 hour period, that's 120 cigarettes), like 7 or 8 in a row chain smoked. to the point it can fry your lungs and add discomfort. that's when i have to switch to chew. Which doesn't work so well with the dry and acidic environment of my mouth.
The speedball is my favorite combination. I know it sounds awful but I really do find it to be the most euphoric combination. I never take an "abuseable" speedball per se since I am prescribed both the Vyvanse AND a low dose of Suboxone (off-label for my mental illness) so I inevitably take a speedball quite often. But I stay within prescribed doses so I am not strung out like hell of anything hhaa. But it really feels nice.
It's not a speed ball unless it involves Heroin, an upper, and injecting it. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but taking Vyvanse with a suboxone and calling it a speedball is just stupid and makes you look like your just trying to sound cool. That's not a speedball, that's mixing Vyvanse with suboxone.
Haha. Yeah. I am really trying to look cool. I find drug abuse one of the least 'cool' things. However, combining an upper called "AMPHETAMINE" and an opiate called "BUPRENORPHINE" (Both of which, mind you, are technically stronger than cocaine and heroin, not that I think that is 'cool' but it is worth pointing out), is a speedball combination. What do you want me to call it- "Dopamine Releasing Agent Coupled With Potent Mu Opioid Receptor Partial Agonist Combination" or something? You must not post here much, because if you did, you would know that I am a very responsible drug user, that I don't find drug use "Cool" in any way, and that I know quite a bit about how drugs work. So, please don't try to come in here and essentially accuse ME of being a "boaster" when YOU are the one who even pointed it out, and MADE SURE that you threw in the fact that only "cocaine and heroin. INJECTED" is a 'real' speedball. I don't live by some stupid junkie code where injecting drugs is 'superior' in some sick, twisted way. In fact, it is disgusting, and I would wager that 80-90% of people who partake in the type of SPEEDBALL YOU refer to are some of the most sad, unfortunate, slaves to addiction on the face of the earth. Sorry to 'unleash' on you, but I just find it funny that I have been accused of trying to glorify my drug use, considering my reputation on the forum as an advocate for safe, moderate drug use. Well that certainly hit a nerve... If you will read my post all I said was that an actual speed ball is injecting Heroin with a stimulant, so it would actually be in your best interest seeing as how you seem so sickened by shooting up to not refer to your combining of vyvanse and suboxone as a "speedball" because of the conotation. And yes technically your drugs are stronger per mg than Heroin and cocaine, but when actually doing the drugs this is not how it is in reality. Look up speedball, it's a well established term with a specific conotation. It is NOT the combining of any upper and any opiate in anyway. It really does just make you sound like someone who doesn't know what they are talking about and is trying to sound cool, what are slang names exactly anyway except a way to make something sound cool or to try and show you know about the scene. I don't care what you call your little combo, but don't call it a speedball because it's not one. Oh and that ridiculous fit of rage you just had was BEYOND immature. You are addicted to subxone, which means you were addicted to other opiates before that. Maybe take a look in the mirror before you pass judgement on what qualifies someone as a slave to addiction.

off i think the original Speedball is Cocaine and Heroin injected at the same time. Methamphetamine and Heroin injected together is called a Screwball. but these are just slangs. You can call it whatever you want.
