I get this strange feeling that in a past life I use to be a musician...I dont have a singing voice or know how to play an instrument for that matter...but I picture it in my head....I really want to learn how to play the guitar and love music....does anyone else feel like they know what their past lives were?
Maybe miss Groovy, you've got your psychiciness all back to front, and really you're going to be a musician in the future, get some practise in! That said, I some times have dreams of London getting bombed, from a low view point... So if I had a past life, I'm not sure I lasted long, haha.
well, you can tap into the human mass subconscious (Akashic Records) and remember being anyOne on any timeline with whom your vibrational signiture resonates. if parallel timelines are possible for you may also be able to access future selves. since time isn't actually linier ... neither would be reincarnational lives. for a fun story employing this concept read the beautifully written little novel "The Education of Oversoul 7" by Jane Roberts.
Drifting through the shadows as we do - what was, what is and what will be flows through the conciousness - maybe a desire to be such, fuels the projection - Go for your dreams
I feel like I had a past life too....Not sure what I was, but I think I lived through the 60s and 70s and wasn't finish living when I died.
ahhhhhhh yes....I see a child in the middle of a group of adults. This child is laying on the ground kicking and yelling for attention....have a nice day
I barely even know what my current life is, and the longer I live the less I seem to know... I asked my spirit guides once, at a psychic's urging, to show me something about my past lives. What ensued seemed like a possibly "valid" vision of an elderly man who was some kind of spiritual/religious leader in what seemed to be an ancient culture, and he was extremely judgmental and punitive, and I can see how this could relate strongly to what seems to be a large part of my current spiritual path. But overall it wasn't overly enlightening. And another spirit guide kept throwing me a vision of myself aiming a rifle at someone or something for a while - and in this life I don't even own a gun, and have hardly ever shot one. Interesting, I guess, and maybe offering some psychological insight possibly, but the real business of this life is this life, I tend to think. And what the hell, learn to play guitar and see how it goes, if that's what you want.
Fingermouse... *sigh*. I think you have a lot of positive and worthwhile qualities - however: This comment was rude, sarcastic, immature, and pointless. Its purpose, as far as I can tell, was to illustrate that you know better - however you offer no reasoned argument as to why we should believe this. So...what were you expecting? That we should all say to ourselves, "Fingermouse thinks this is stupid, therefore we should too?" Or did you merely want to figuratively wipe your ass on our faces to show us your disdain for our thoughts? Do you know what it was you were trying to accomplish? Can you articulate your purpose in posting this comment? Please understand that I'm not just saying all this stuff because I'm pissed and want to make you pay. Actually in point of fact, I'm laughing while typing this. My goal is to try to get you to understand what your comment looks like from others' point of view, and to have you possibly gain some insight into your own motivations if need be. You know, my 18-year-old son - whom I consider brilliant btw, notwithstanding the fact that I'm his dad - disagrees with my views of reality as pertains to spiritual and psychic stuff also - but his approach in discussing it with me is much less confrontational and much more respectful than yours. And he doesn't feel that it's necessary to loudly scoff or snort or deride me every time I say something about my psychic experiences. I suppose I might be able to talk him into giving you lessons...probably not, tho.
When i was 16 i got an electric guitar and amplifier, Mike had a bass guitar which he didn't really know how to play either, Andy had been playing saxophone for a couple of years and was ok and Romily ... a couple of years older was actually a decent drummer. I literally knew just 3 chords on the guitar, but hey, we said "Lets get a band together!" and so we had 3 band rehearsals in one week and played our first gig a week later (supporting another local band) with just five songs and it went down really well. A few years later we would fill up our local town hall on many occasions (that's a 500 people audience) So it's not really difficult, you just have to start. You don't need to be technically good to play music that sounds good, but a sense of pitch and rhythm help ... if you can tap in time to music and sing or whistle in tune then i'd say you're good to go. Of course this was a band thing but just playing for your own enjoyment ... the same applies. Just learn a few chords and go from there
Yup liquid, there's a helluva lot of great three-chord songs! And you can add maybe a fourth or even a fifth chord now and then, if you want to really get fancy.
I was mostly using bar chords with an E and A shape. My guitar solos were pretty rubbish back then though LOL Love your sig' pic Zen!
I had feelings that I was African. I have always wanted to visit there. Then I got this really good book, "Practical Guide to Past-Life Memories: Twelve Proven Methods," its an easy read and very helpful. I tried some of the meditation techniques and actually had a vision of myself, male, in Africa, I was farming with my 2 daughters and one of them smiled at me, then I got excited and came back. It was awesome I'm definitely wanting to try this again.
I also did a self-regression and saw myself as an Amish man. There was alot of detail with this. Wife, 5 children, the youngest a 3 yr old girl was the light of my eye. I had this special bond with nature, a respect, as I knew there was a spirit in everything. If there was a dispute between two people I was the one they would come to for advice. This wasn't an elected position, I was just known as a fair man. I was the bridge in my community that would bring people together. I was absolutely fulfilled in that life and connected to spirit and the natural world in a wonderful way that I haven't been able to connect to in this life. It was frickin' weird to see myself as a man though lol. I'd like to try it again sometime....windy
lithium, groovychick may not have been aware that nobody is allowed to say anything psychic-related here unless they include irrefutable proof for you that it was really psychic. But the important thing is not simply that you stated the obvious, but also that you used it as a bludgeon to exert your superiority over a lesser being, and I'm sure groovychick will be grateful for your caring attitude.
I am 45 and I started playing guitar. I want to play so bad. I was a lousy student when I was younger. I now wish I started younger. Studying guitar is so awesome. It sounds so beautiful. Just a few chords and you can sing and write songs. Don't delay please. You will do yourself and our world a favor. Everybody wants to hear music, especially when you will play. I think you're hot, and if you played you would be smokin! You're much cuter than Sheryl Crow. Buy a nylon string classical guitar for a hundred bucks from Amazon. Get the Hal Leonard Essental Elements beginners book. It's awesome! By the time you're done with that book you will be able to read music, play chords and note scales, and be able to fingerpick too. Don't delay any longer. There's no reason to not play an instrument. Play for yourself. Don't play for others. Take your time. Playing by yourself is a great way to spend free, alone time.
Ergh. I'm always afraid to try and look into my past life through meditation and techniques because I couldn't tell if it was just my own imagination or not, but it was some creepy ass shite i'd like to not ever see again in my life.
