    Hi guys,

I work for a TV production company and I am looking for a bar/pub/club in London which has a hippy feel to it, to film a hippy in.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks x

This is pretty poor researching easytiger

Considering you are being paid to research this you should do more than google 'hippy forum' and then post and ask someone to do your job for you

There are a load of pubs full of hippies all over, why don't you ask your boss for 100 pounds for research and go to Camden or Brixton or Soho or anywhere 'cool' and you'll find something

Sounds like you have an awesome job finding a cool pub in London so piss off to the pub and leave us to our misery and bitterness on our computers

A lot depends on the premise of the inquiry- whether or not the desire is to further stereotypes. Three minutes after establishing the account the post is made... then no further activity tells me there's little interest in actual research.

    I agree.

Best research is actually asking people for advice and opinions.. they're the people who have first hand experience being in the establishment. It's easy googling places, but they don't always answer the phone or have photo's and some establisments don't have time to take photos or resources to send me. We don't have the time to recce potential establishments either.

I have always posted on forums when looking for locations and contibutors for shows and shoots and will continue to do so.
    Thanks for your help nevertheless.

any of the famous rock pubs like groucho and worlds end would work if they'd let you film there

    A response!

I confess some surprise and at times would prefer to be proven wrong... this being one of them. IMO the current political atmosphere needs activism and loud protest that cannot be ignored and not ambiance. Perhaps your proposed cinematic endeavor will address this. Style is okay when there's less need for revolt but the criminals running the show from legitimate government positions deserve constituencies that are not being distracted by culture- people who are being educated about what's really going on and not what those in power want them to think. you ought to take your saltwater kayak and picture show maker across the pond to the Corporate States of America and figure out how best to transform the population into a couple hundred million activists because from my view this is the epicenter of what's wrong with the industrialized world.

The very medium that's being used to mesmerize and placate what are regarded like livestock can be used to wake them up to get their voice back.

I will only tell you where you can film the scene if you introduce a character called Reginald. Reginald is a tall man with a purple beard

Reginald loves to dance. Dancing is, in many ways, his passion. A passion second only to ... murder

Reginald is a shy man. As a child, he always kept himself to himself. During his troubled teenage years, he often liked to sit alone under the stars and contemplate his place the universe. Sometimes, he would imagine himself as a penguin.
