Yes it was. But about 17 years ago...We stopped at a restaurant to eat before tripping.(We[4 friends & I] had all just bought ten strips of windowpane of unperf's white blotter for $50 each) I went in to wash my hands before eating, and they slippeda few tabs into my milkshake, they never really told me how many...and I still ate the ten strip too!
I had already made up my mind that I was going to trip that night, but the ride home was FUBAR!

visuals, flying, dread, death, re birth, etc...repeat! Turned me into the man I am now!

 

Oh, and I was all alone after I kicked them out of the car on the freeway...oh how interesting it was!

 

I was also wondering about this. Like shrooms have a much longer period of tolerance than LSD (most say space your trips out by a month or more) so I was wondering if you take shrooms if it changes tolerance for acid for that long after or just a few days.

i meant more like, if you were to eat couple hits of acid, and then a few grams of shrooms after a couple hours...would the L give cross-tolerance to the mushrooms?

 

I have taken 3 hits LSD + Ecstasy 2 hours later.
3 hits LSD + DMT ~5 hours later.
2 hits LSD + weed. 2 hours later.



With the ecstasy I definitely felt my entire roll but the 3 hits of LSD overpowered the ecstasy. I only took 1 hit of Ecstasy though which is rare for me so I can't really comment on if it felt weakened, ketamine was added later in the evening and definitely felt.

With the DMT I had a very intense onset like I was about to have a serious breakthrough trip and then it didn't go anywhere after onset, I was left with just a slightly weirder LSD trip for about 1/2 hour. I felt like tolerance set in there, like my visual receptors were already saturated and couldn't fully produce the DMT trip.

I felt weed intensified visuals and sensations a bit.

Based on the combos I've done with LSD and various other psychedelic combos as well it's difficult for me to tell how quick tolerance sets in and the role it plays, it seems like there are tons of variables to consider. Sometimes psychedelic combos seem like you would expect, sometimes they synergize to about a x10 intensity compared to either substance on their own, other combos seems like one psychedelic dominates the experience and the other feels weaker than normal and just sort of colors the other trip.

 

That's odd you've noticed a longer tolerance with mush. For me personally, I can trip multiple days in a row on mushrooms with little to no decrease in affect at the same dosage; acid is way different for me, when I first started doing good lsd about 2 years ago I could trip twice a week (didn't do that every week mind you, a few times) with no problem, these days, however, I have to wait a minimum of two weeks between L trips otherwise it's just a waste. Strange how tolerance works, Writer, I believe your personal biology hunch to potentially be most of it, as I still have friends that can trip off L after just 2 or 3 days at the same dose with no diminished effects...

thanks for the reply, but it's not too fitting for me. you know i don't really "do" ecstasy, and i don't consider weed to be a drug

i'm surprised that you feel there was a cross tolerance to the DMT, since that is such a revered combo, and DMT isn't supposed to produce much tolerance to itself...like it's strong enough to make most people not notice the tolerance maybe.


i notice that if i trip every 2 weeks for a while - they don't feel as profound or special. without a week in between - i just feel like i'm overdoing.
but i've tripping two weekends in a row on LSD and the 2nd weekend was glorious, with no noted tolerance. i'd wait at least 5 days though for REAL tolerance to diminish

 

Yah I was a bit let down with that combo, it's a combo that I plan to attempt again because as you said it's held in high regard and many people on here who know what they are talking about have given it high praise. I may try the DMT at the onset of the LSD trip if I get an opportunity to try it again.

I once tripped on shrooms for 3 weekends in a row, 3rd weekend I felt NOTHING. I haven't done shroooms for a couple years now, my info might be a bit convoluted now. I will go check some mush forums and see if there is a long-ass tolerance like I thought.

 

Strange, I've done them for quite some time now as well, longest weekly streak for me was 7 back to back weekends...tripped balls on all of them, brains truly are unique

 

That's what I had heard as well and what what I attempted.

 

^^i guess i didn't equate 5 hours later to be the peak of an acid trip. for me, i'd say i'm "peaking" (i dislike words like that) about 2, maybe 3 hours after ingestion, and probably only for like two hours?

^^Well I still felt I was peaking although the acid didn't feel terribly potent and based on erowid's duration chart for LSD and all my previous acid trips I felt that was a good timeframe.

 

I once took 3 hits at around 5pm and then at around midnight took another 4. About an hour after taking those 4 I walked into the bathroom and Spongebob ripped open the wall and I could see into forever, an endless hall of mirrors of my own egoist madness. Just, the Spongebob version.

I had been watching Spongebob immediately prior to getting up to take a leak, btw. I was high well into the following morning. In fact I cant ever recall LSD not doing it's thing after multiple redoses, until it stretched over 24 hours. I've also mixed it with mushrooms and been shocked at how powerful the mushroom state came so suddenly after several hours of LSD. Even if the OP had taken his hits Friday and redoses Saturday morning, I would have replied to this thread with a "rock on". Shit's mad fun, who cares if it's not going to be as earth shattering? Unless of course, you have none left and can never get anymore again for the rest of your entire life.

 

I say "I'v peaked" after the part when everyone around me stops talking and with terror on our faces we all freeze in place while "it" takes control. But that's just me
