One Australian man has been sentenced to five years in prison for growing 7500 sq meters of cannabis in a state forest. That's probably about an average size crop in the forests around here. However it usually requires a few people to manage one that large. I bet there's a lot more like that in Oz!

Yeah, plenty of plantations in Australia, I think.. Lots of wilderness there. One of my friends' cousin grew there; he would give us plastic bags full free of charge.
I would guess that if you get caught with 5,000 pounds than you can't really have your lawyer try to claim to the judge that it was only for personal use. Huh. So, let me get this straight. 5,000 and he gets 5 years. That's a 1,000 pounds equaling 1 year. So, if I only wanted to risk getting busted for 30 days I would only grow 83 pounds according to my pocket calculator. Correct? If I get caught with only 2.7 pounds I would just get one day then. How cool! I'm moving to Australia! Whoo Hoo!
