It has been a little chilly this week, well compared to the summer for sure. Last night it was nippy and when I jumped into bed I did that wiggle thing into the duvet and left only my face exposed, mainly because I do like breathing. Furnace has come on a few times already which is rather nice as it does take that damp feeling out of the house. Indian Summer is coming soon.
I had it set at 18 and it came on. I was not turning it off as the house had that damp feeling. Came on a few times and will do so again when it needs to. Here the furnace is on from October usually. Of course I have been known to have to windows all open for air and the furnace going as well.
no fires here yet in the woodstove...hallowe'en is generally the first fire new gas furnace is installed and ready but some jackass from the gas company has to come break the seal and turn the valve on ..(the supply line is new too) all the gardens died last night ...all the leaves on everything are droopy after getting froze
I don't mind the summer... it gives me a reason to be lazy, go to the beach and have summer fun. The heat is my only problem. But I prefer the fall: Not too hot, not too cold.
Pretty much every season is my favorite as they move in. Some just wear out their welcome faster than others. This is the first year that I wasn't completely sick and tired of summer by the time late August got here, but I am still excited about fall and all of the awesome things that go with it. Bonfires Halloween Sweaters The Smells Beautiful Colors Apple Cider Pumpkin Pie Lots of Cinnamon Flannel Perfect Snuggling Weather The list goes on and on!
I LOVE SUMMER!!!! I don't even cry and complain about the high humidity. Fall is awesome in that there's my birthday, halloween, and beautiful scenery. But once it gets too cold for a hoodie I'm done and waiting for the Spring thaw...
