i hope you will look up candida..... i am an experienced educated healer so don't you be jumping to conclusions there mate.
I'm sorry but I find it amazing how people can just offer their opinions, just like that. When has anyone gone to a doctor and he didn't ask questions? In order to help the OP, it would be wiser for us to probe into the problem he has, rather than throw diagnosises at him. It will also help him to ask these questions about himself. Rather than "Do I have candida, do I have derealisation?" etc it is better to ask "Do I drink enough water, do I stretch my spine?" and so on. The questions you should ask are ones about your lifestyle and symptoms, those are the answers that will lead you closer to the condition you have, if you have one at all. Of course, he should look up candida, which is why I asked the question if he's taken any antibiotics recently. The thing is, with the symptoms the OP described, it could be anything from quite a large range of ailments. You would have to jump to a conclusion to place it to any specific one. So yes, OP, the fact that you have taken antibiotics does play a factor. Candida is an infection (fungal?) which can affect the brain and body, most often at the same time. Some antibiotics reduce your body's capability of containing the stuff that causes candida, which is present in your body all the time. The symptoms you describe could be among those of candida but I think it is something that would produce far more symptoms and have a much bigger effect on you. As I understand it, it is very rare. Still, check it out, you may feel that you suffer from it. Now, the issue of sleep... At least 8 hours of sleep? I have heard different, from a qualified nurse, I should add. Now you are approaching adulthood, your need for sleep will be less than when you were younger. Young adults, said she, 7-8 hours sleep, less if they don't need it (don't force yourself to sleep) and apparently the true healthy sleeping amount for adults is 4-7 hours. This can vary depending on whether you are recovering fom injuries and illnesses, things like that. OK, so you suspect you have a psychological condition, namely an anxiety disorder. You say that you don't know what causes this anxiety but you do tend to get nervous and your head can fill with worries and thoughts. The first thing you should know is that everybody's head fills with thoughts, especially when they lie down to sleep and aren't particularly tired or are overstimulated. Also, everybody worries at one point or another, likewise a lot of people feel nervous. It is not just you, you are not special in that respect, this is a human thing and while it is not particularly healthy, it certainly is normal. You say you don't know what causes the anxiety, so perhaps it is you that creates the anxiety? You made a very anxious thread before about your stash being found. One fantastic way to deal with anxiety is to learn to say "Fuck it" about things. Like that big spot on your nose that stands out even more than the others but you've got to go to school in 10 minutes... Fuck it. What's the point in going "oh shit oh shit everyone's going to see my spot"? Can you help it? No. Does it really matter? Not really. Today is but a day in a life of thousands and thousands of days. So fuck it. Take a deep breath and say "fuck it". Sometimes you've just got to let things go. The TV and video games: This will have an massive effect on you, believe it or not. Whether you're playing an action packed game or aguing with some douche (probably me) on the internet, you are putting important parts of your body like your adrenal gland on a rollercoaster ride. Say you play COD for 4 hours straight then go to bed and try to sleep. You will still be on the butt-end of the adrenaline rush of the game, then you have to go through the adrenal dump phase, then normalise. Your eyes are still darting from spot to spot in reaction to the bright screen and alert responses induced by your mindset while playing and again, the adrenaline. You've been listening to booms, cracks, bangs, fizzes, the whole lot, over and over again for hours. Now a real soldier, he would have done a lot of running around by this point, so when he lays down to sleep he finds it a lot easier to drop off. Or if he has another task, be it mechanical or social, he is a bit more centered and focused because he was using his body his body during his adrenaline rush, that energy was going somewhere. His adrenal dump phase would have been a lot shorter and more forgiving because of the physical exertion he undertook while the adrenaline was pumping. A videogamer, however, must take the brunt of his adrenal dump, unless he plays the wii, hehe. That's just one aspect of how these things can affect you and your ability to sleep or calm down, to keep control of your emotions and to realte to people in a considerate manner. Long periods of viewing imagery/undertaking actions/hearing the same sound bites will result in you seeing them more in your life in other places, even when they're not there. In a scary wood at night, the trees can look like they have faces, right? Is that because they have faces or because our brains are wired to recognise and place facial features? So when a videogamer sees a gun on the kitchen table out of the corner of his eye and when his head snaps round and he takes a proper look and it's just his dad's umbrella, was there really a gun or has he wired his brain to recognise guns laying around? Very important. Do you ever supplement your diet to attain recommended levels of vitamins and minerals in your body or do you feel your diet is healthy enough? Do you know if you get enough iodine? Some of the symptoms you describe could be attributed to something glandular and iodine is essential for the health of every gland in your body. Phew, I hope I'm not boring you. I can offer more advice if you like but I'll leave it there for now.
okay i will look up candida, and ah i see, on average i probably get about 5-6 hours of sleep, and ohh i see, about the video game things, makes sense lol, and i have no clue if i'm getting the right vitamins and stuff, i dont even know what iodine is, i dont take any supplements. This is hard to reply to hahaha i forget most of the stuff i read now, that could be another symptom possibly? i find it very difficult to focus almost all the time, like i can sit here and read something if it interests me, but i will forget most of it by the time i'm done, maybe i'm just dumb or it could also be caused from this time thing i'm trying to discover now lol
I am a medical intuitive. That feeling of not feeling real is so common with candida sufferers. I have been wrong before but not often.
only medication would be an anti-biotic, that i don't really take anymore, i stopped for a bit so just haven't continued
Just an update, i still feel like this constantly, that dream-like feeling, i'm still assuming its depersonalization/derealization, because i have all the symptoms, and have done quite a bit of research on it now... I could talk to a doctor to get a prescription, but... i really don't like appointments haha! its not like its life threatening..
Life is a dream man. I know that may not sound helpful, but, reality is a subjective experience. It's not something solid that one must confine themselves to. Every once in awhile the mind will come and go, between the walls so to speak.
Do some research into dissociation....perhaps there will be something familiar about your experiences therein.
well one very important thing to realize here is WHEN did these symptoms first occur? and what was happening in your life that was different from before at that time? stuff like this doesn't just appear out of the blue. and if it is sleep deprivation related then the moment you get a decent amount of sleep, all of it will go away immediately. physiologically, loss of focus and inability to concentrate is caused by excess serotonin in the brain. and that can also cause hallucinations. if you take any medication or drugs that influence that that could be the cause. then the minocycline you're using is said to cause depersonalization and vision changes as a side effect in rare cases. look up minocycline on the internet. most of all, think back to when this first occurred and what you were doing differently then.
