I want to grow my own mushrooms and ive been looking at kits im interested in cubensis kits on grasscity.com and everyonedoesit.com my friend said i had to buy spores too but the sites dont mention spores at all they just say take the lid off and it will grow. anybody got tips/comments?
check out mycotopia's forums and read the shit out of it......I always hate people responding with read more...but its the truth....you don't need to buy a kit...just go learn as much as you can and make your own, its cheap and easy.....and yes you do need to buy spores, they're also relatively cheap when you consider that one syringe can last a life time if you use it right......
The best spores I ever used came from www.pfjars.com, highly recommended I would not trust a site that tells you all you need to do is take off a lid and it will grow, growing shrooms is more complex than that.
I have no experience with spores, but I imagine that getting your sterile environment right could be tricky. Follow the kit instructions and they're easy. You need a kit OR spores not both.
